looks like i can't ride my bird anymore......got into bad accident....front of bike totally gone....bike at ubi idac.....had to put metal plate to join my right wrist....don't think can ride sportbike anymore....:-(

thank you greysnail.. About pipes, I asked teo spray a few weeks ago how much is a micron carbon fibre slip-ons.. He quoted me $1450 ( 2 pipes) ..

hi, would like to know the idling rpm for bb, mine is 1k when startup and 1.5k after warm up.

mine is difficult to tell bcoz i'm using 99 model and its not digital. But i noe it is ard 1.5k... However, i notice that my needle is not constant. It moves up and down in a little vibration mode. I can say it is nt stable unless you move. What can I say about my idling speed?

Can change but i need to noe wat causes it.Coz KS job is to detect abnormal combustion thus putting the bike in safe mode(No high revving) in order to protect the engine.I try to change to a new one and see the result.

What is a knock sensor? Is it the one with the F1 Light? Sory guys i'm a noob coz i jus gt my bird a few mths only.. need to learn as much as i can from you guys..

yo bro .. my bike also kena the 25 blink and 9 blink jus last month. then went to Unity then the mechanic told me bout the knocking causing the 25 blink. So decided to put Slick 50 engine treatment to reduce engine friction. now both 2 and 9 blink no more but 5 times blinking. so anyone knows wat is the couse of the 5 blink blink ? i still went to sepang wif the FI light on .. scared also if anything happen along the way to kl ...

I have a 2001 FI model silver and after owning it for 10 months and well looked after servicing and upgrades, i would say that am happy with the performance and the bike does not give me any problem.

 

In fact, if i have a windfall like 4D strike now, i would sell my present BB and buy a completely new one that is in the showroom. This shows that how much i like the BB but of course prefer anytime a new one if i have the dough.

 

Anyone wants to buy my bike next year....hehe...almost stock, after my company bonus after the chinese new year. Dreaming about new BB in my sleep.

Hi Riders.

 

I know its abit of a "off topic" but jus want to share this experiance I had on 3 Nov'07 Sat, 5.30pm.

 

I was travelling from bugis towards chinatown along North Bridge Rd.

I was riding on the extreme right lane wen a "Black" FR plate blackbird suddenly came out from the small lane of Bras Basah causing me to brake adruptly. Hence I horn once to alert him. (I'm still using an OEM horn)

 

Both of us stop at the red light in front of bras basah. We never had any eye contect as I was behind him. When the light change, he cut across to the extreme left lane without signalling. I'm not against him for not using his signal but, when he was about to turn left towards suntec direction, he raised his right hand and pointed his MIDDLE FINGER at my wife. I did not look at him as I need to look out for traffic in front of me but my wife saw it.

 

Which gentlemen would point his middle finger at a lady regardless a friend or someone he dun know??

 

I feel that, being gentlemen, the least basic manners is to respect others therefore others would respect u, realise ur mistakes and be humble. Vulgarities and hand signals on roads (eg. middle finger) are as good as ROAD BULLY which are chargeable under the panel code.

 

I'm open for comments here, best if the fellow rider is reading this - Hope you will be more gracious and be like a gentlemen.
