Thnx for the concern man.The guy called me and say his boss asked me to claim from insurance as he's not sure abt the cost of the repairs.Guess he's worried abt it so he ask me to claim from his insurance.Any idea where can i send my top fairing for repair.And most important,the shop can do the claiming too.To make things clear for the guy,i'll call him to inform of the pricing before moving ahead for the repairs.

 

no probs. Well for the repairs to the cosmatic damages dun have any gd recomendations. For claiming, if its jus for the bike repairs i dun think its a gd idea to get a shop involved unless u really trust them. Frm some of my frens' experiences many shops wld like sure can claim u dun pay a single cent but they will claim high but give u a cheaper paint job for eg. as this will allow them to earn a quick buck unless u dun mind the quality of repair.

Jus as an advise to safe guard yarself against this fella, try to settle private. Cos if go claim...he might jus say u rear ended him. It might be very tuff for u to prove tht it was he who reversed n hit u instead unless u got some edvidence frm the scene.

 

i agree fully. things might get complicated further and claims usaully take a longer time to process if im not wrong. settle private is the best solution unless he acknowledge thru black and white that it is his mistake...jus my thoughts.

jus wonder if its necessary to make a police report? did you make one? by word of mouth he might back out later...you never know.

police report is not required. Unless there was an accident victim taken away by an ambulance or someone got injured n got a MC of at least 3 days or damage to public property.

Well guys,there's always a loop somewhere for this issue.Like i said beforehand,before the repairs takes place,i'll call him to inform him of the price and if he's agreeable,i'll ask him to comedown to the shop and write black and white on the shop receipt as a guarantee that he's agreeable that the damage will be claimed under his insurance.Or another option ,since the fella lives in my vicinity,probably i get the quotation and showed him and get his signature of approval.At least he can't play punk with me.

if police report is made,it'll be worse for him.Demerits points+ summons.Take note that his lorry rolled backwards towards my bike.Letting his lorry rolled backwards w/o looking out for vehicles or pedestrian,this act can escalate from simple mistake to reckless driving.

How do u guys measure up ur EO?

1)Bike cooldown for how long?

2)On mainstand?

3)Remove dipstick,wipe clean and dip the stick w/o turning the stick.

 

Coz yesterday when i did the above after 24hrs didn't ride the bike,the oil level was below the dipstick.Mebbe the parking lot was a bit slanted to the left.Well gonna check it later.If really low,then chialat le.Gonna damage my internal organs especially the conrod bearings.No wonder got the tack tack sound when its hot.....i assume only.

Well, Since there's a couple of you, including me hoping to get together, know each other, exchange tips and anything under sun.

 

Let's make a list out from here and see how many Birdie's owner, we still have here in this section/division I should called upon.

Upon having this list up and knowing the exact figure, then we can go about having this group relive and active especially over outdoors activities rather than staying here posting and posting..without knowing each other face to face, liked I had encountered talking to a fellow rider ( From USA) for almost a year, before i realized that the rider actually a female..which i dun expect it earlier on...gees...crazy..yeah

 

Note: I would like to call upon all BlackBird's Riders to open your heart and arms to accept one another....participate strongly and happily for all occasions, trips,...etc

 

If there's no objection, I would also like to give this section a theme which represent everyone of us here, ' Home Of The BlackBirds, Brotherhood We Forge'

As my earlier post,i've mention abt the problems with the knock sensor.I've tried regrounding my wires,putting th ecu upside down and left with nothing.

Only recently that i've pump S'pore petrol(Caltex with techron) and the next day i went riding,the Fi lite does'nt appear.So decided to top up full tank with 98 Techron and blast all the way and still no Fi lite appear.Looks like S'pore's petrol is of good quality and i tink it really cleans out the injectors and the combustion chambers.As the report on knock sensor indicates that the knock sensor lite detect poor fuel quality.

I'm now happy with the result so far.Looking forward for the fuel consumption as during the KS period,my fuel consumption was bad.Will post the final result on the fuel usage.

I wld check for e.o. aft overnite parking...wont go wrong. However some might say aft some hrs the oil will drop back to the base...

 

definately on mainstand n leveled flat ground not sloping either sides will give u accurate results.

 

no3. is wat exactly i do not sure myself if should tighten the dip stick all the way 1st. But the levels show within the range for me.

Hi there, my rear is on 190/50. I wld not recomend. I wld prefer 180 though have not tried b4 on BB as i got the bike with 190 on.
