Hi bro,my fi lite does not lite anymore.Reason mebbe due to good quality fuel as the it occured while riding back from Sepang race.Full duration using M'sia fuel.Another reason mebbe i was using 10 40w Amsoil.1 bottle isn't 1 litre but 1 quart.Dunno what the actual amount in litres.Coz wen top up there was 1 3rd left in the bottle so only last week 1 pour the balance in my engine and the Fi lite is gone.So 2 things managed to make the Fi lite dissappear.

1)good fuel courtesy from Caltex 98 with Techron

2)Correct EO level for the engine.

 

Mebbe my next oil change will be Maxima 15-50w.more suitable for our climate.which is normally hot and humid.

Hey guys how abt we plan a makan ride one of these days.Mebbe we go to A&W or mebbe to KL.Juz a day trip.Riding in formation of a crow on the NSH.Definately gonna be a nice view from the sky.Who noes our formation may appear on M'sia tv as its being captured by the highway chopper.hahahahaha

been riding it for a year now.Even though theres a lot of new ,nice bike,the blackbird is always the best.Been eyeing it from my teenage years.Now father of 3 la den able to get one.hahahaha

Carb,definately powerful

Fi,fuel efficiency + self diagnostic of course need to really be more indepth with it electrical glitches but easily to be rectified with the fellow BB riders.Don wait long-long..go get urself a BB and start flying.

i will get the digital meter..its '02 model i guess..still looking around..read through bb's thread. theres one guy with his bb prob..hope it will nt happen to me if i really buy a bb.scary sia..anyway, if i got a bb, i definitely will fly with you!!! haha

Interesting thread about the knock sensor. Thought I was the only one facing the prob.. been to a few mechanics and none of them seem to have been able to isolate the actual prob.. just sent my bike for a valve clearance and top-overhaul. Hopefully things will be alright after that.

yo bro.i feel for u man.the blardy small red lite is a pain in the butt rite.Well refer to my previous post.If u've been topping up M'sia fuel,try switching to S'pore fuel for a change.Need at least 2 full tanks.Knock sensor will be activated when detecting bad quality fuel.Check for ur grounding too.Btw ur bike which model?Coz the later model 2001 onwards have better wiring harness.this is important too.now my bike is doing great except the fuel consumption is getting bad.-245km til reserve.Gonna change the spark plugs next mth and monitor the fc.

I went for a M'sia trip and on the way back from 2nd link, my FI light came on. I pumped at the Esso just before the checkpoint. I suspect they're selling bad petrol (perhaps super low octane).

 

However, after I restart the bike a few times I didn't see the light anymore. I've never seen the light ever since, so makes me suspect it's bad gas.

certain gas station sure sells bad petrol.The fi lite on my bike came when going back from Sepang.The few top ups to Sepang was ok.

 

Anyway glad its ok now.
