Any idea on the unit cost of a knock sensor??

knock sensor will cost u abt 150 to 180.. i think i will try to resolve the 25 blink by replacing my knock sensor.. if the 25 blinks still persist, i will jus let it be..

I was hoping mine was 24 litres! lolx! So one time go in JB can pump more come out and i won't have to stop and refill if i go up K.L at Pagoh! lolx! :sian:

 

Bro the 21L tank can push up to ayer keroh II R&R...Once i ride like there's no tomorrow to KL...upon reaching Ayer Keroh II R&R,i pumped 19L..Mileage is 218km from GP esso...

 

Fractal :- I think its the sensor that's spoilt, however just check the wiring.Get a multimeter bro. My 05 BB got erratic tachometer. At times i'm doing 100km/h at 3.4krpm the rpm will shoot up to 10k drop to 5K...and at times redline..Manage to pinpoint the problem. A loose tachometer wire connector thats located inside the headcowling.

Bro the 21L tank can push up to ayer keroh II R&R...Once i ride like there's no tomorrow to KL...upon reaching Ayer Keroh II R&R,i pumped 19L..Mileage is 218km from GP esso....

Nolah bro..juz pc3 and aftermarket endcans w/o silencers...from GP to Ayer Keroh i try to maintain minimum of 220..then after ayer keroh(road gets 3 lanes),minimum 280..plus its 4am in the morning,no trucks or buses on the highway,only a few cars. Within 1 1/2hr i reached sungai besi toll. 15 mins later i reached my fiance's school near karak-kuantan toll. Kena shelling from her sia..

 

Thats why i say this is my first and last time i hit KL in 1 1/2hr...and thats also the reason why i need to pump 19L for just travelling 218km...On normal rilek2 trip,i juz need to pump 15L...

BRO JEBAT .. .. KL .. 1.5 hrs .. u give meaning to the term "flying blackbird" sia .. as long as u fly safe bro .. hihihihihihhi

 

Anyway .. got fed up with my timing .. too low .. sometimes at a stop, die suddenly .. do i turn clockwise or anti clockwise to make it higher .. then the timing screw also like want to break when i turn ..

 

Then on the tensioner .. Bro Jbat ,, can lend me your ears to listen to the 'knockin' when u r free ..

 

Another thing, Bro Sujak and Greysnail felt a bit heavier with the 2Long 5 SHort FI indicator .. is that good or no good ? .. if good .. safe to press on the speed throttle ? if not, advice please ..

Bro BJ...turn the knob clockwise to increase the idling speed..The idling setscrew knob is very flimsy one.Its because the one that holding it is a piano wire.

 

As for the chain cam tensioner later when got gathering come down i try to listen.

 

The purpose of knock sensor is to adjust the timing(ignition) once the sensor detects the engine knocking due to using low octane fuel. From what i know BB can use minimum RON of 89...Normally in SG we use 95 or in Boleland 97...I think should'nt be any problem but after thinking twice,its better to change as without this knock sensor,you engine might not work more efficently. Here's something on knock sensor :-

bro, i think u can go back to UM to ask them to check. Make a bit of noise, so they wun charge u for checking again. n, so long u have xiaolong (the short guy) doing ur bike, personally i quite trust him..

yah, got dslr, me part time photographer. :) but these are shot using my small cam.

 

Btw, need to seek some opinion. I changed my coolant and i believe w e reserve 2 weeks ago, few days after i collected my bike. So far, my bike haf been running really hot. At junction, slowly build up to 105c and up, though i believe e fan got kick in, temp never went down. even after off ignition, when fan turn on, takes at least 2 mins before drop by 1 degree. When to equip xtreme, talk to alson abt my prob, he cleared carbon from my exhaust, whh is alot, and pointed my coolant flush not done properly, hence coolant at lower lvl, n he clain thrittle sync need to do cos idling needle not stable. Also, he suspect collant didnt run.

Anyone any opinion? N, any feedback on equip xtreme. Can pm me if u scare ganna charged by moderators..
