Think by right the gear oil should last ard 10,000km, but I plan to service transmission soon (maybe change rollers + belt) so might as well get it done at the same time.

Should not be DIY-ing, but if you guys want, can just bring a container to store.

Does wear on the rollers affect the rpm? More worn out higher rpm?

I would think worn out rollers would have some effect but not sure what the effects are

You have to use the end of your ignition key, fit it properly over the slot and turn clockwise.

Takes some getting used to, but be patient and you'll get it.

If you have the original bike key, that it's no problem. Just fit the back of the key to the small plate beside the key hole 1) for the older burger, press the plunger on top of the keyhole with the back of the key press against the plate. 2) for newer burger, just use the back of the key, press against the plate and turn.

If no original suzuki key. :goodluck:

Well, mine has it as well. And its opened/closed using the other end of the original key.

The key has a hexagonal shaped extension at the back that allows me to slot into the locking mechanism at the side of the keyhole to open the keyhole.

In e first place, how did u closed e igintion cover? By using key or other object? normally i used my original key to open up by turning the other side of e key and you will see one small round (octagon shape) to open up.

original key install with magnetic. if you do not have e original key then i suggest you either look for GUAN HOE AGENT or bike shop mechanic.

From my discussions with the mechanics, a set of worn rollers will likely result in loss of acceleration smoothness and decrease overall pickup.... But all this is hearsay lah!

Think both Malossi and Polini rollers should be compatible with the stock variator. Of course if you're adventureous you can always try the Dr. Pulley rollers also.

Not sure about Malossi, but Polini ones should be in the region of $38 bucks for a set of 8 rollers, labour not included.

For me I mixed and matched 2 different weights of rollers, so cost me $76. But get to keep one more set as spare.

I still got my original variator, so maybe one day if my Polini variator dies or backside itchy then I'll try.... but cost around $76 bucks for one set of rollers...

Anyway I've got about 800ml of the Maxima gear oil left, anyone interested can just bring a container to store 200ml to my place at Bukit Batok.

Hi guys,

About the issues of rough idling, maybe we should not rule out the air filter too.....i am also facing this issues of rough idling when i came back from phuket....rpm went all the way to almost 2k rpm and i have to manually adjust to bring it down. But knowing that i have not clean my KNN filters since i bought it a year + ago hahahahah.so if william is changing his KNN to a malossi please advise if ur rough idle is being resolved and we shall how noe if we ought to clean our filters soon....hahahahha and WOW seems like there are a handful of burger king potentials here already

Think it could be not really a matter of cleaning, but that you'll need to increase the bike's idling when using the K&N filter... cos I changed back to the stock/Malossi filter, I've lowered the idling without any adverse effects!
