for those interested to get alarm, this is what i found out:

Steelmate 2way LED Alarrm - Model 883 Only & HID Kit (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/misc/multipage.gif 1 2)

bikeworkz's ah beng quoted $130+ for steel mate 883 including installation (not including connect remote start)

Tai Hin (Kallang): Steel mate motorcycle Alarm (http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/images/misc/multipage.gif 1 2 3 ... Last Page)... jacky said currently out of stock

cheetah motorcycle alram - CHCT-WPTX (with tilt sensor) costs $85 from a shop in Sim Lim tower (alarm set only)

Lim Ah Boy... got lots of cheaper models

anyway, all the 3 mechanics i spoke to recommended not to fix remote start coz it may damage the bike's CDI

if you read backwards, there're some discussions on alarm for SW at Page 58

which one to get? depends on your needs & wants (want more = pay more) :cheeky:

for those who want a simple cheap solution or needs the alarm only on some occasion, fitting an alarm system could well be an overkill. the simple disc lock alarm could serve the purpose :thumb:

setback is, must remember to unlock it before riding off, else:faint:

but if alarm is working, it should KPKB when you mount the bike

a Xena costs approx. US$ 70

http://www.xenasecurity.com/home/images/m_thumbnail/3_0.jpg

but a LAB costs only S$25

this is a concept bike. very unlikely going into production.

Sorry Not True !!! There are a few prototypes already running around mostly in the US, Japan and Canada - as always Honda are very thorough in their R&D and will be carefull to make the bikes look as innocent and less attention gathering as possible during these tests. But the big Giveaway is the Belt drive System as used on the SW. Maybe we may see them on market by 2009 or 2010. They were actually planned to replace the 'Pacific Coast' model.

yes yes... PC is :thumb:

my original 1st choice was ST, then PC, then Deauville, then SW, then Burgman, then MP3, then Nexus, then ... car :D

tried ST n whoa! a heavy monster it is, pushing n parking both bike n balls can drop... hehe; searched around but couldn't find a PC in "buyable" condition... gave up; Deauville's price-tag >$23k... think very long, kenna turned off; SW no hesitation, bought and didn't regret :p; the rest is history

From some people in their R&D whom i still keep in touch with. Would love to give you their contacts but then they would loose their jobs. Refer to some earlier issues of US & European Bike magazines where the development and testing of new models are explained in detail. If i can trace the specific issues i will post them.

The PC was a real beauty and can be considered as the first Super Scooter ! The only dif was the presence of a clutch, gear change and foot brake.

Hey guys just doing a check.

I just did my first engine oil change together with my gear oil at 1000km, so what speed can I go up to now ?

I been maintaining it at 90kmh with occasional burst to 100kmh or slightly more before the engine oil change.

What is the recommended tyres pressure for front and rear if I constantly pillon my wife.

Thanks

how about use endcan sticker and paste over it? there's a sticker shop (just wheelz???) near HKL at Bt Merah that customise stickers and they have 2 types of fibre design stickers that can withstand heat on endcans. wrapping the S4 endcan costs around $30+ to $40+. a small piece for our exhaust cover should cost less

may all be well and happy

should be black inside. will never be still chrome after buffing. its actually a coat of chrome paint on it. its something like dipping the product into a chrome paint. seen the Malaysians do it b4. u can send it to Malaysia to do it. will be much cheaper.

another way is to peel off the chrome paint, sand down then spray a colour u like on it.

which EO/gear oil did you use? semi-syn/fully-syn, brand/model? i'm curious coz also change EO soon :p

i've been using castrol power 1 for my other bikes but dunno can use on SWing or not. any SWinger wanna recommend an EO? fuchs silkolene pro4? shell advance ultra? mobil 1? esso gold? motul? any others?

i'm also riding within that range coz still running in the engine

What is the recommended tyres pressure for front and rear if I constantly pillon my wife.

from owner's manual (kPa):

driver only = front 220, rear 225

driver & passenger = front 200, rear 250

may all be well and happy
