I've seen some gloves in Motoworld and Chong Aik. They look not too bad, and are not expensive. Motoworld has sales quite often. I think you can get a decent pair for under $100.

Gloves being protective gear, safety and not looks is the number one priority. What's important is the quality of the stitching, the reinforcements at the palm and knuckles, and the fit.

My hands are super small. I had a pair of Alpinestar leather ladies gloves (XS) and even that was too large. It felt very uncomfortable initially but after about a week or so (I was still taking Class 2B at that time), the gloves will soften up and you will get used to it.

Now I'm wearing Dainese Motodon (bought it when I was in Melbourne). Mesh with carbon fibre and leather reinforcements, but still looks pretty slim and ladylike. Most importantly, it fit and didn't have extra bits sticking out at the finger tips. The bad thing about this pair of gloves is you get VERY COLD while riding in the rain (due to the mesh). But then again, they dry faster than leather too.

I'm on the market to shop for another pair of gloves as my spare.

Frankly, there's no one perfect pair of gloves. You buy what you're comfortable with within your budget. Once you found a pair that you're happy with, buy it instead of keep asking "is there a better one out there?" You should be changing your gloves once a year anyway so you just need to live with it for 12 months. It's more important that you get protection NOW rather than wait for that perfect pair of gloves to come along.

my hands are small too. so far the gloves that i tried are too big for me. i felt very uncomfortable, this is the main reason i didn't buy them. of course i hope i can get a pair that fits comfortably and looks lady like.

motoworld got lady sizes. but think it's only for the mid range and expensive ones

rs taichi sizes slightly smaller than komine

boring rider. with a boring bike.

too old to want to appear interesting anymore.

@xiu xiu: there should be some jap brand gloves that have your size. when i see a lady rider, the parts that make her look ladylike aren't the hands lor :) so no need to worry lah. swiftee is right...go check out motoworld.

Just sharing my experience about riding for the pass 6 months after i passed.

Before TP, i told my folks that when i passed, i would used my ride for trasportation to get from point A to point B. But after that guess what, hand sure itchy and will tend to play corner or red light change to green and chiong. But i'm a person who control myself so i can say that 90% of the time i ride safely and within speed limit

Not only this, beware of unconsiderate riders. I had a fall after banging a curb. What happened was i was in a filter lane wanna join in to a road below kaki bukit expressway. When i looked at my mirror, i saw a RXZ behind. While approaching the dotter line inside the filter lane and i was about to turn to check for oncoming vehicle from other direction when this RXZ purposely forced me to the curb and common reaction is to prevent accident, i swing my handle bar a little bit to the left due to shock. The next thing was i'm on the grass patch while that other rider rode off quickly without helping.

Just becareful..All the best to whoever taking TP. Check back and blindspot most important. :D

my TP also 22 oct, managed to pass today under wet weather

That's great man. Hope too see you there on the day, and hope that we both passed!

Yes, some of our worst enemies are our own kind. So many times I've had impatient motorcyclists overtake me at bends from blindspots.

Good luck! Join us for our SG island ride when you got your vehicle. :)

Anyone can ride a bike. Being a biker, is a state of mind.

yeah folks...book as many RR as you possibly can. even those much earlier than your test date. because every RR will show you new areas you can go wrong and you will learn better. also, try to get the day time RR slots to get familiar with handling "HEAVY" traffic. some thursday morning traffic can be hell around that area so get familiar with how to manage that. don't stinge on practice because that is the only way to gain confidence :)

Yeah, just note that ONLY correct practice makes perfect.

It's good that even CR is escorted by instructors who are able to correct your errors. OTOT CR last time only served to reinforce some bad habits I acquired due to familiarity of the permises.

RR is an eye-opener each time, there's always something new to watch out for or never knew of.

absolutely!!! i always remember this being told in one of my singing classes last time. we would all do well to take note of the truism behind it.

"Practice makes PERMANENT"

so if you practice the wrong way...all the best!
