Ive tried using the car mount. Those sucker on the windscreen, i used it on the tank. It works, but i worry for it and with the vibration on my twins, it goes all angles.

I thought of getting the 3m Velcro to stick on the mount cos my bike has no place to suction. You know, the translucent Velcro? But worried it might drop off due to wind or like you said, vibration. Hmmm....

Wow $25 only!

I found a new way to attach smartphones to handlebars/windscreen.

1. Put phone in the cheapest faux leather case you can find. Attach it in whatever way to the bike.

2. Remove the phone leaving case on bike.

3. Next time you ride, just slot the phone in the case and viola :D

my style uses 3m velcro on my IU unit plastic cover.

i stick one on the iu and 1 on the backside of my phone casing. then when i need it just stick it.

i use the normal velcro, 90km still ok. so the 3m mushroom head velcro should be even stronger.

good position too, cause my iu is right infront of me, in turn, the gps is right infront of my face.

i use double sided sticky tape.

once sticky no more(i.e. gd for 1 time use), just replace with new sticky tape.

good for up to 89.99km/h.

i have lost countless phones but this is probably the cheapest mounts u can get! :)

Most people go through life following the crowd.

Others think for themselves.

They go their own way.

Tsk, lets arrange for you to sell me something again and I will teach you the art of cable tying. It's the ultimate kopitiam engineering skill and much more secure than double sided tape lol. I have not lost cameras, galaxy tabs, phones, aero parts and cargo boxes which are all cable tied lol.

My hair is getting too huge and needs to be tied. I think cable ties can be used for that purpose too. I have zillions of cable ties LOL.

I have a garmin gsmap 62s, fully waterproof, and get the accessories to fix it from sim lim sq.

The gps is a great handheld for touring, but for use in a city ... hum not sure it is the good choice

after testing alot of mounts and all that..

My handlebar has no space to mount a full circle so I need to melt the plastic giving me 4 holes, using the art of 3M double side tape and cable ties, it can secure nicely on my handle bar.. as and when I need to change device.. I just need to change the "top part".. iPhone or any universal device.. *water proof can be achieve*

*pending my new mount to arrive in another month time.. heehee..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...
