Motorcycling IS dangerous.... i never said it was not. Just to clarify. but danger is what you make of it.... you can choose to ride like a crazed mac delivery rider rushing for docket or u can be cool like an uncle on an SYM scooter.... at the end of the day u skidded or kana langar means injury and/or damage.. It happens to everyone. Don't think it won't happen to you!

Riding may not be SENSIBLE per se... it is just PRACTICAL. Better than squeezing in our overcrowded public transportation.

Well said. Last time when i was young, when i buang i blame on everything else except myself. Now old liao think of it, if i have been more patient and mature, i would have prevented all those.

So are you still riding?

There are always many variables that contributes to a dangerous ride. If we were to stick to the main topic which is focusing on why BIG BIKE is considered safer, we should set the rider as a constant. Meaning IF given the same rider, will he be safer on a big bike? I think you will have the answer then.

bro i dont think so , i got 2 bike dr200 n vstrom 1000 both i brought to laos , n i also rode a scooter 180 n shadow 400, honestly when it comes to solely safety , the vehicle does not make any difference ,it all in the hands and mind of the rider

Hahaha, debatable lah. I have my reason, you have your reason, he has his reason and she has her reason. At the end of the day, I trust myself, you trust yourselves, everyone trust themselves that matters. We debate until the cow come home also no conclusion. Lets just go ride and be safe. Don't you agree? :p

Or a better suggestion. We go put a Durex sticker on the bike. Sure SAFE.

i feel that 2b four strokes are massively underpowered. Sometimes you need the power to get out of sticky situations. i have encountered a few situations whereby if i didnt speed up, i might have been hit.

However most of the time, my hella horn works wonders :)

BUT!! big bike buang ****ing more pain...

Speaking of the ability to siam, small bike light, some of them have more pick up than big bike, better at tight spots and start stop traffic and siaming but if you're talking about expressway than different.

so care to share which small bikes have better pick ups than big bikes? im curious

yup everyone have different views when it comes to safety. there is not a definite answer to this. carry on wat u deem safe until u met with an accident and review ur thinkings

Where to find a rider that never buang or accident before? Easier to just play safe, bike with safety features, your gear, expecting everyone will try to kill you, especially old people.

Borrowing a quote from the AvP movie:

"Same principle as a condom. I'd rather have one and not need it, then need it and not have one. "

I rather have more power and better brakes and don't need it, than need it and not have them. :D

Small bike, big bike, good bike, sh*t bike...just dont ride like a twit.

No one and no bike can save you if you are very determined to see God soon.

The 1st step is usually folded mirrors. ;)

i like the last sentence. as i always see this lady with a CBR1000 such bike beautiful bike but fold mirror and going slow. i mean WTF she things shes the fastest on the road that everything will be behind her and no one dares to overtake?

And some GOONDU guys like to ride side by side with her, wat a prick. I just overtake both of them.

i think those riding big bikes with folder mirrors are those who inherited their habits from 2b days .

tinted visors are OK for use in the day, but not TP friendly..

shorts + slippers are nono..

not to mention about tinted rainbow visors but i do wear racing shorts and arai slippers :cheeky:

i dun like the idea of wearing like a ba zhang just for short distant.. and of course i noe its safer and better to have protections but good riding habits are also important.. i have seen ppl just because they wear racing suits they think they can weave in and out and do high speed corners on a blind spot corner...n ya i have fren wearing full suit and now seating on a wheel chair forever...

so to say... dun be too bais against the racing shorts n arai slippers which improve HP :D
