Damn. This type of topic is discuss time to time.

One piston ver four piston

N yes u can chase but nvr overtake. By the time u hit max rpm u r already stressing the engine. While a 400cc is still cruising.

The MITO may be able to chase the 400s but the 400s can anytime leave the MITO far, far away comfortably. From my opinion, if you wish to upgrade to 2A next year, just get a cheap and easy to maintain 2B bike. Ride your 2B first to gain riding experience.

Just my US$0.025..

Btw, congrats on obtaining your license bro! :thumb:

with greater power comes greater responsible (your own safety) .. if u intend to upgrade 2A maybe you should get a heavier bike that will prepare you, speed wise singapore road not really can stretch the bike to it fullest.. and speed too much your 2B only got 12 points dun forget..

speed and be home 5 mins early or 7 days late.

how fast you wan to go? seriously! get a cheap 2b and ride to gain experience. then upgrade. simple. thats what i did. my 1st bike is x1 110cc only. enough to go anywhere lah.

Yamaha x1

Honda super 4 spec 1

To chase 400s, you'll have to mod the 125, even then you're pushing your luck. Comes in ZXRs and RVFs and they'd leave you in the dust. Want to tail for how long? A 200km/h piston jam is not a funny thing, there's a reason why they race 250 2 strokes with 400 4 strokes and not with 125s.

survive your first year riding then u think about upgrading or not.

just remember the 3 ways of getting off a bike:

- as a rider

- as a pillion

- as a projectile

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive :angel:

actually mito can beat a 400cc like rvf... dat is, if the rider is just cruising on da expressway, minding his own bizness. Against a rider who really want to play with u, prepare to smell v4 smoke... my advice is dun waste ur time with dis kind of concerns

No replacement for displacement..

To "chase" a 400cc with a 125..

What you trying to prove??

1st year, get experience ride safe..

More like a 2 stroke vs 4 stroke, 4 stroke match 2 strokes by doubling their displacement if not, no contest. Too bad they didn't continue R&D into 2 stroke tech, blame Honda. Anyway 2T is a hassle. Premix is worse but then again, it used to be a norm.

And yes, 1st year get experience ride safe, 2 stroke can teach you about powerband since its not as linear as 2B 4 strokes

If planning to upgrade,dun buy such exp 2b bike. Common sense

TS, dun be those idiots on the road who try to race every 400cc bike on the road. Must be your friends who frequent jb that tell u some shop can mod a 125 to chase r1. Dun believe them. It can chase, but not outrun.

How fast u want to go? Dont be a devil on the road. Leave it on the track only. You only live once, and with singapore's rising petrol prices and deteriorating road conditions... U gotta b crazy duuude. Ppl nowadays are after efficiency not gas guzzlers. Adv technology over outdated 20 year old technology. I think even riding a spark 135 is safer.

U want fast, u want mod can.. But italian bikes parts are ridiculously pricey and the wait time can be a pain. Compared to current jap bikes that have parts easily available across the causeway.

Thrash? Don't mind if i do.

are you actually allowed to ride a 2a bike with 2b license? (noob here from foreign land..)

singapore motorcycle license is split into 3 different categories.

2B = 200cc and less

2A = 201 to 400cc

2 = 401cc and above

if you're from a foreign land with a valid motorcycle license, you should be eligible for a license conversion.
