TS! You better apologise to the rider who you caused the accident with! You so bad you know?!

He is just minding his own business, going straight, lane splitting like a boss and you are just like a troll who just stick your bike out in his path, causing an accident.

Someone must recreate the scenario with troll guy and like a boss guy.

ok lah.. good thing both riders survive to tell the tale. Cosmetics damages can be fixed. Mistakes can be learnt and corrected. We are after all human. To improve and be a better rider is more important than dwelling on past mistakes. Time to move on. Keep riding.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

Hey at least this TS is good. Got some other TS, come here and just want to seek comfort and when they don't get it, they get so angry and all that.

I didn't read thru all the posts but in my riding years i've seen 3 cases that happened exactly like urs mate. What i'm about to explain is not against you particularly, but i'm being narrative of the circumstance that my memory can recall.

1.) I was riding a scooter, a guy came out from between the cars just like what you might have done. With signal or not also useless, how to see the signal lights flashing when we are same height with the cars and his lights would be lower from our line of sight? He came out and only stopped when it was too late, i jammed my rear brakes - due to inexperience, fishtailed my rear towards where his leg was, and whacked him straight. From the impact that i hit his leg area, my tail came back straight and off i went. Dunno whether or not i injured his leg, but honestly, i don't care. Because of his recklessness he almost cos both of us injuries., not to mention some every pissed drivers.

2) second case, same as the above, but both of us got away unscathed.

3.) HIgh speed collision like urs, both riders riding fast during peak hours, both knocked into each other at high speed like how your drawing showed. One idiot was using slippers, first time i saw toe nails bleeding, that's when i told myself not to wear slippers when riding. The other bike, well, one indian was stunned by the sight of his fren lying motionless in the middle of the expressway, not injured- just shocked. And that was the first time i stopped and helped out in an accident.

TS your case do happen, but when it happens i always think why on earth do we whack into fellow bikers and try to argue? We are already dispensable by what drivers think and then we try to mow down our fellow riders...Not too good eh? Try to slow down the next time and if possible turn over your shoulders and look over and not just look into ur mirrors, at most what u'll see are cars behind u. If cannot look over, just queue behind the cars first..

Read what you like and leave out those you don't..

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

Well If i saw him i'd gladly give way, But when I just glanced over my shoulder i didnt see anything so i proceeded but he suddenly came and at some decent speed especially in that heavy traffic. But i have to admit, the person was in the right of way.

Failure to check back or blind spot carefully. You're in the wrong here. You glanced but failed to pick him up and as a result, the other bike which had the right of way slammed in to you as you pulled into his path.

Put this another way. The next time a car comes out from a minor road to your major road (where you have the right of way) and pulls into your path, saying "Sorry mate, I didn't see you", would you take it as a valid excuse from him?

Both in the wrong, as TS was squeezing out from between cars.

The other party is wrong for riding between cars.

But on this matter. TS is in the wrong. Filtering, with signal lights, does not makes it safe to filter. You as a rider/pedestrain/motorist, has a obligation to make sure its safe to do so. Not only for yourself, but for other road users.

BTW, I hope TS is apologetic to the Rider going straight. Or else, this is all going to be for us to rant at inconsiderate road user TS.

There's no written law that says filtering or lane splitting is wrong. Have even asked a TP officer direct about this. As long as you don't do it in a reckless or dangerous way. TS is in the wrong for violating right of way. That's all.

Remember signalling your intention does not automatically grant you the right of way. Otherwise any Tom D1ck and Harry can just signal and just happy happy pull out into moving traffic.

No worries mate. Money spent can earn back; if skin injury got scar left behind can tell story to ur son or grandson about how u were a hero last time riding; but if serious injury or death...u mention to endless possibilities la...ride safe!

Once again children, there is no specific law against lane splitting.

Class dismissed.

I have been in this situation before, just that i'm not in TS position. In the end, while trying to avoid the sudden cut in bike, i bump into the car in front and the bike ran away. The car later claimed to my insurance company and afterwhich i was rejected to renew from the insurance company.

Hence, i remind myself not to repeat what others have made.

35% fault to the other party and 65% is yours.

Same thing happened to me 10 yrs ago. I got 65% fault as I didn't check when filtering out. I got 6 demerit points. Thank your lucky stars you are not injured and the other party also not.

Broke a leg in the process, learn my mistake and will check check check and check before cutting out. Likewise will go slow and easy when approaching blindspots cos you never know when someone will cut your lane
