Saw a dead flatten rat grounded rapidly on the road at southern motor entrance at bukit merah months ago.

The dead rat is flat like a sheet of paper. When I was there, lorries cars and trucks were still grounding it though its as flat as a sheet of paper already.

Imo, I dun see the big deal about the bowler killing the stray dog. Unless its someones pet then the owner should received some compensation as I belive in singapore , there are expensive breeds of dogs/wolves kept as pets.

Its still a living thing. Yeah death is certain and has been written for us long time ago in the Lauhul Mahfudz. He should have assisted instead of fleeing and came back and not admitting what he did. He should be punished for he is seen as a role model to others being the top bowler. Otherwise everyone who looks up to him will do what he did and start running down any animals they see. You would not want to see that do you?

If you must know a close childhood friend of mine was killed in an accident by a car driven by some celebrity chef. Apparently the driver lost control of the car and it wss sent flying to the other side of the road straight to my friend who was riding his bike. It was published in the news. Up till now there's no update on what happened to the driver. Just because the person is a celebrity does not mean they are above the law. What about that diplomat that mowed down a couple of pedestrians? Let him off just because he is a diplomat? No more updates on it anymore. But wait why am I telling you this? You would not care. Sorry.

Pardon me for being a safe rider and not running down animals. Sarcasm gets by you easily does it not? I am not angry we do not share the same view. Its just sad we are of the same religion but you do not have that bit of pity for the helpless animal. No hard feelings.

I think those here who support the animals never nearly kenna accident because of an animal before.

 

Cats, dogs, running across the road unexpectedly, a few times i nearly kenna accident. Seriously, the guy killed the dog, he killed the dog. What can he do right? Its not as if he purposely play GTA style and kill the dog. Get on with life la.

 

If i had to choose my life or an animal's, i choose my life first and sacrifice the animal. I do believe in Darwin's theory of Natural Selection and as long we humans are a dominant species, we can make the decisions for animals.

 

If its a human being, of course its a different story. If the guy can prove that there wasnt any negligence on his part, then the person would be in the wrong. A normal human being understands the consequences and implications of crossing the road dangerously. To a certain extent, his behaviours can be predicted with reference to societal norms and the culture we are in. Not so much animals.

 

If the animal belongs to someone, it is the owners fault for not taking care of the pet. If its a wild animal, there is no one to guide the dog to tell it whats wrong and right. So if you guys 'feel' for the dog so much, then how come you never feel for the birds that get sucked into aircraft engines on a daily basis? If you say rat la, cockroach la, okay, those are pests. But you can also say birds are pets right?

 

Those who support are more like 'dog lover's extremist' or 'fundamentalist' rather than a person who deals with logic and looking at the situation from a fair point of view. What if Remy and his gf were to get into the accident just to save the dog's life? They both die compared to the pregnant dog live?

 

Eh please la, they are human, they die, my heart more pain than the dog die. Sometimes ah, i see these PETA and all these crap, i feel like slapping them and telling them to get your priorities straight. There are people dying and there they are caring about animals.

Hey, domesticated animals, usually pet animals like cats n dogs usually get more sympathy from us. I ran over a rat in a carpark once. Yeah I felt bad abt it, but life goes on. Didn't mean to do it. Dumb animal just ran out from under a parked car and between my 2 wheels. *bump* *squish* D.O.A.

 

Basically this whole hoo-ha is because he didn't stop to check or help the dog. Not because he hit the dog.
