Hi bro, I'm new here. Just got myself a new dragstar. But the bike is at the motor shop. Coz waiting for my class 2A to pass now. Hope to know more bikers here...

anw u got urself a custom or classic? classic front fork is inverted one, custom front fork more 'normal' ha..

my test date is on 24th Apr... but trying my luck to slot myself into the 10th Apr with some insider's help. hehehe.... crossing my fingers....

 

any bros got recommendations on side box for dragstar? really don't wish to install a back box and ruin the looks....

hmm.. side boxes? depends on ur budget n how much carrying capacity u need.. lots of side boxes out there to choose from.. maybe u'd like to share on wad u lookin for first?

budget hopefully less than $500/-. capacity must at least hold an 3/4 helmet (something like the 'KISS' model). saw a side box which is leather covered but plastic inside, loackable, kinda like it.

 

bros out there have pics on side box and crash bar for dragstar classic 400?

Don’t mind me, but it always occurs to me how one could relax at the dam when there is no chair, table, food and toilet? Not to mention when it rain, how to get to the nearest shelter at the shortest time without getting wet? Other than some self-shiok wannabes and once in a while roadblock, I really can’t think of any justifiable reasons to relax there.

Hi Dragstar Bros,

 

Am riding 400cc DS (orange) and have just renew my COE. I did not really maintain it well and now decided to overhaul,do up the exhaust to sound like 'harley' ,chrome rims and some of the parts. Including the purchase of a backrest. I have also not explore this forum thoroughly, i would like to check if our fellow DS bros have any recommendation on which workshop to my highlighted intention. I would be most appreciative.

Hi bro,

 

I used to ride a Custom like urs; same color and all and my advice for a good mech is Chee Chai Motor somewhere @ Yew Tee. I did my bike there after Rosli, a well-known mech couldn't rectify my probs. U can PM me and I'll be glad to show U. Go with me is best.. And the pricing is worth the work he does.

 

Another advice is, do not "project" ur exhaust coz it'll be illegal. Even those Harleys now have been warned about their loud pipes.

 

Backrest wise, I used to have 1 which has been sold to a fellow forumer but U can get it @ Ahboy ard $70. It's those high ones..

I think it's not abt sitting down to eat or anything. More of like meeting up & enjoying the breeze and seeing other bikers/drivers for an hour or 2 before proceeding to places like Jalan Kayu..

Has anyone done any (legal/illegal) exhaust system customizations on the Dragstar? The stock ones are a little too quiet for my taste.

 

Also can we start off a reply chain that mentions any and all the common problems faced by Dragstar bikes? If there is a forum thread dealing with that already, could you post me a link?

Mine is a 2007 model classic version. Got it from my regular motorshop Soon Fah @ Changi Road. But heard from them this will be the last batch Hong Leong is clearing. Will not be bringing in anymore. That's why my friend got it for me even before I pass my Class 2A. hahaha. I can ask for you if you are interested.

bro,i've done my front exhaust part,change 2bigger pipe(30mm),at back im using phyton3 muffler,tremendous rumble sound.
