Modified Exhaust Caught 3rd Time - Attend Court

The first offence was more than 1 year back. I was caught the 2nd tme and 3rd time just a few weeks apart. 2nd June and 28th June. Because it is the 3rd offence. I am being summoned to court. Anybody knows what is the penalty? Any jail term or just fine?

 

Not to mention, the first and 3rd time i was not even using the vehicle because i decided to take MRT. The bike was parked in my multi-storey carpark and caught by LTA instead.

 

Can I plead not guilty? Since 2nd June and 28th June are not even 28 days apart...

 

I am super distressed by what has happened... what crap getting caught in a multi-storey carpark

LTA officers will not go around HDB estates to specifically to catch bikes with illegal mods, they were definitely responding to complaints from the residents.

Haha ya, unless you are certain that you did not ride between 2nd to 28th June, you better plead guilty & close the case. If they find evidence that you did ride, it might make matter worse. Gd luck

Court for exhaust nothing wan la... no need to be super distressed. Prepare $600-1000 for Court summon. Out of your stupidity i do pity you 2nd and 28th June sounds too much. I hope the Judge combine for 2nd June & 28th June together so you only pay one fine. Judge is still better than those LTA. Judge is more human. Good luck to you. Lol wont have jail term la. Unless you dont want to pay fines lor. Some people rather sit 1-2 days than to pay fines.

firstly, do you have the intention to change your pipe? if not, 1 day is already consider too long not to mention 28 days.

 

i think you better try to convince the judge that you intent to change your pipe but give reason like you are waiting for your next pay day to do it as you are short of cash etc. hopefully he consider that and let you off with a lighter fine. i think the key is to show your remorseful to the judge.

 

after that, do consider changing your pipe. it already hard to convince someone you have the intention to change after getting caught three times not to mention fourth time.

hi, jus to check. i bought a bike with full system and all approve document, understand tt noe there is no more approve full system. can LTA fine me due to new law. as my bike was inspection pass bby ex owner.

I agree with that...They should fine for those riding on road. I think LTA need to change the system as it is not justice as the bike is not using on the road...

What about those staying in private houses and condos? So they only fine people who stay in hbd?

Those that park their vehicle inside private properties are free from all these issues as LTA officers are denied access unless they have a warrant.

Bro, its almost the same scenario as mine. You can try going down to LTA and pay the fine. Most likely don't have to attend court after u settle the fine in LTA (or just go to court on the date of hearing, scan IC then u can go, "Provided u already paid the fine in LTA", speak/appeal to the compounding officer in LTA. Go down asap.
