I’ll just get a mesh jacket with armor and ride carefully/defensively… street riding… no Number 46 here… who wanna overtake.. welcome… same for driving

Yeah man… just chill and ride/drive.
A lot of angry drivers on the road nowadays… some crazy ones love to tailgate me when I’m riding in the middle lane … most of the time I’ll just ignore. But sometimes… I’ll just let them smell smoke and disappear from their sight… just because I can 😂😂😂😂😂 only when there isn’t too many cars in front. Be safe even when you wanna be reckless 😂😂😂

hahahaha okay uncle, you go first 😂 as they say "age before beauty" 😝😝

We have a few children, two of which are preschoolers 😱 Hence, I can't wait for them to get back to school. And I so need to do something that can allow myself to think without interruption - scuba diving used to be it but now I can hardly catch 3 hrs to myself so that's out.

People will steal helmet?? Woah.. on the bike.. I like Street Fighter bikes as the handling is perceived to be good by looks (my impression and not fact) :D

Yes.. used to be worse.. my friend who is a doing delivery.. half way his trip, his smelly, cmi filled with scratches helmet got stolen..

nowadays camera everywhere.. so.. people are more "aware".. 😂

The comfort of gold wing… is out of this world. But it’s huge… so other than riding out of sg. It’s quite painful to ride it in Singapore. Just like the can-am… make sense for riding those in Europe and USA.

Harley… to me is just too noisy 🙊. Makes too much noise… my neighbors need their peace 😂😂

It's a transportation and sorta of a toy.. hahaha.. I would say.. something that belong to us alone? (let's forget COE for this few years).. hahahaha..

Agreed on huge and really quite tiring to ride a CL2 in Singapore.. won't even get to change gear pass 4.. 😂

ok la.. it's the next level "achievement" unlock.. LOL.. But Harley not really for me.. when I get to 50s.. Maybe any scooter will do.. ;)

Just to share an update; attended the 1.01 Riding Theory lesson HBL (home based learning) from BBDC on Saturday. The instructor was pretty good and explained the blind spots of large vehicles and made me appreciate bikers more and their vulnerabilities. Also covered the importance of the free-play of the brakes, and the clutch (when declutching).

I was pleasantly surprised at the usefulness of the course. I think I saw an expat who might be older than yours truly…

Still have to go get my photo… which I think is preventing me from booking the practical lesson.. I also need to validate my 3 so as to be exempted from Basic Theory..

Looking to buy a helmet; considering the HJC RS9…

yes.. dun hide in other vehicle's blindspot..... cannot see shit de..

suggest u go to the shops to try.. got quite a few around like motoworld / regina specialities / racing world / chong aik etc etc.. hjc is mainly at motoworld if im not wrong.. kaki bukit there.

Yup, I agree that bikes need to “pull away” when needed. It’s not about racing but to get out from a situation…. I see your bike… sure can smoke… hardly a car can beat a bike’s acceleration… :)

Yes, with kids, it’s hard to do a lot of things, but yet, they give so much joy.

I was thinking of a scooter but I know if I want to go to 600cc bikes.. “2” is it.

So, will likely just get a MT-05; saw one on the road yesterday and it didn’t look half as bad as I thought with a box behind. The bike seems pretty nifty also. - this is funny  coming from a guy who doesn’t ride…. LOL…

Yea, blind spot is really a scary thing in real life; especially when the rider is in others’. I think the RS9 looks pretty good with the built-in sunshades.

Yes, will go and buy a jacket… I am not sure my mommy will allow me to buy bike… :D Would look for a MT-15 to use for about 3 years or so….

I'll move to centre lane safely.. let them pass ba.. seems like alot of drivers are in the rush.. (Toilet, giving birth or etc etc) but nvm.. benefits of doubts ba.. Usually I ride at 90 (GPS speed) (which is quite fast compared to our speedometer)...

I do agreed, need to make sure not too many cars even if wan to speed up..

I think in SSDC wear anything more than T-shirt will get heatstroke... I used to wear short sleeves and arm socks. cooling and comfortable. Jeans can get those more airy and stretchy material type.

2B need to be able to focus more and see more... so open face and comfortable clothes along with a solid sole shoe is important. running shoes are ok for 2B and 2A... but class 2 when you wanna lift the bike on the stand. A solid sole is important. like those hiking shoes type. confirm will make it easier. You wear those nike soft soft sole... haha... good luck.

I agree that have to wear stretch jeans... Yup... I think I will wear jacket only on the fact that taking a tumble won't have abrasions except that the jacket would be worn out. I'll go with T-shirt though... need to get my helmet... My weekend trip overseas may be cancelled. :( and if is.. Huh.. no la.. u wun be going so fast till u tumble until like tt la.. in the circuit the most u're only going around 30-40kmph nia.. somemore 1st lesson is teach u go around the nursery.. by then u would noe how to move around n change gear le.. shld take about 2-3 lesson 1 to control the bike.. after tt is the obstacle courses.. max u'll only be in gear 2.. even if u bang kerb the most u'll be jumping off the bike nia.. wun fly de.. if u cannot control the bike, u cannot go on the road also.. the bike wun just drop n make u fly when u're on the move. Most of the time it drop is when u bang kerb or lose balance when u stop..

Oh btw, just in case u all didnt noe.. dont buy the riding theory book.. u can download it from the spf website

https://www.police.gov.sg/Advisories/Traffic/Traffic-Matters

Under the I'd like to know, find the online learning portal for the theory books. Its free
