BAN HIM! BAN HIM!

buy buy buy

that what i am having on my gen1..no regrets

Dun like tat la.... veri veri cruel leh...

Ya, your flower plates looks chio on your heavily customised FZ. Oh yes, with the cool rider onboard.

As ever the your theory - ...buy buy buy hor....

then my theory to follow-up - dun like then sell to me cheap cheap.

didnt realised these VStreams are made by National Cycle.. I only saw the National Cycle barn door for the Gen 1.. uber huge but looks good..

The Vstream looks real good but comes with a pricetag.. abit more pricey than the Puig Touring but think cheaper than the local OEM touring screen.. U getting it? Let me know how it is.

I like the Alien look alike shape. As menetioned in their site, it is to 'cut' the oncoming wind away from rider.

This morning while i was riding, realized there are 2 spots on my screen, looks like cracks...then my heart in dilema that it is a good opportunity to change the screen but painful to pay much higher price. Later see that they are actually the stciky stuffs i have got from the screen sealer.

ur too fast too furious liaw.. I know of this other brother of ours who found his belly pan missing after his ride.. Indeed too fast too furious..

You talking abt me? Not fast but suay landed into the pond of deep water along Tampines.... Almost cost my bike and me 'swimming' in it. NB! Authrity, RoAD WORK PLS!

I am not really keen on the pricey OEM screen, too ex to justify their worth. Ok, thicker material with maybe tougher mounting (if). Not sure if during usage, the screen fly off and hit the rider and kill him, will Yammy bear any responsible?

I will go for something not so expensive but similar quality or well reviewed item with diff branding. OK OK, i know some will say "OEM is always the best.... " My contest is as long the item is use on daily weather conditions, it will detoriate some where & sometime. Do our home works before commit into any 'toys' before we waste our dough.

Windscreens usually use plastic screws/bolts that are designed to break when a strong force is applied... ie.. drop your bike, fairing flexes. So you lose the cheaper screws, but your screen is saved.

So you want a guaranteed strong mounting, use metal bolts. But for sure your windscreen will break at the mounting points if you drop the bike.

Other than grounding, I don't trust any extra "battery savers" or "voltage regulators/stabilizers". It adds load to your bike's electrical system, and might just affect your ECU and stuff.

sigh...I just paid for my fairings shipping rates. Cost almost $300, including 7% GST. But overall still cheaper than HL :sian:

Confirm next week come. Latest next friday arrive at my doorstep.

Please drop some pics here when you've installed all of it!!!

Regarding the windshield, the known brands carried in SG are Puig, MRA, Ermax, Power Bronze and Yamaha's?

You have got to see if the material they use can withstand the pushing force when going at high speed or not.

Actually ah, materials are mainly the same. Same type of polycarbonates or plastics.

The only fear I have about these brandless stuff is the FITTING! Skarli you bring back, the holes are all out of alignment.

yours is the touring wind shield or tall wind shield? seems HL have 2 types for fz6. happened to see it in their online catalogue.

I think the touring windshield and tall windshield should be the same thing. Last August when I went HL they only offered me 1 type, which is 9cm taller than the standard stock windscreen that comes with every fz6.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

need to check with FZ6 riders, is there a choke for FZ6? My friend's Hornet 9 had to pull choke at high altitude to start bike although hornet 9 is Fuel Injection bike too. Me riding 04 model FZ6 and the manual did not state a choke was present.

hm, only know that the choke will be auto on when the engine is cold. it would also auto cut off when engine meets the required temperature for moving
