Funnily enough, I was trying to decide between these 2 tyres as well, even though they're not 'direct competitors'. In the end, I saw a load of positive user reviews for PR3 and hardly any reviews (apart from magazine tests) for the M5. So despite being a Metzeler fan, I decided to give the Road3 a shot. So far, they're doing great! Wet weather riding has been limited, but they feel pretty grippy in the damp. Lean angles are good too, I have a lot of confidence getting on the throttle when coming out of corners. But then I'm only a street rider.

 

If you're using the tyres for street as well as track, you're probably better off getting the M5, otherwise the Road 3 may be worth a look.

 

One more thing to consider - Michelin seems to be moving some of its production from Spain to Thailand. My front tyre is made in TH while the rear is from Spain. Metzelers are all made in Germany. If this sort of thing matters to you, go with Metzeler.

i stuck at Toh Guan exit for full 10mins. Then stuck at opp IMM for anotherd 5mins. Du lan, turn left also stuck at the U-Turn area for another 5mins. and that was close to 10am

caused me to jam brake so many times cos he cannot split pass cars....

anyway small world. i just happened to be on leave today, so went bukit batok to do my inspection in the morning and pay my installment at asp after that.

 

btw, do u happen to stop along sp in the evening at times? i spotted a red fazer with full fairing on my way home from work a few times before... dunno if that happen to be u?

just got angel st. but i can only input a few weeks later.

 

i used angel st before. grip wise, i find the sport touring tyres more or less the same. lasted me around 20k km... but after few weeks, the front got uneven wear for me. so didn't really enjoy my time with it.
