but white can become black easily..:cheeky:

black remains black still:sian:

stone hit black become whitish. scratches also become whitish. dust settle down very obvious.

white not so obvious.

end of the day, its personal preference. :cheeky:

Rat bike - A motorcycle not necessarily kept in pristine condition, often painted matt black. Minimal maintenance and mismatched parts often used.

it is some sort of fiberglass treatment i believe... the mechanic handled everything for me (it is outsourced as your average bike shop doesn't have the facility to do this). the interior has been coated with a beige coloured substance.

it has only been a few months, and the last water removal service showed no sign of rust.

unfortunately, my fuel tank came back with some minor scratches after the treatment. i guess the people who do this are not overly concerned with aesthetics... u might want to source one out properly, hopefully they take better care for your fuel tank.

i vaguely remember that it cost between $150 to $200, i'll need to check my records.

I'll contact my regular shops and find out what they have to say about this. Might be worth doing if I'm considering keeping my bike for the longer term...

hey guys! wanna update you all on the unwinding of the throttle spring that i just did for fz6. the throttle is now really light like drz throttle but it snaps back fine without any lag. from the picture, the area circled in red is where the spring had a latch on. u just have to unhook the latch and the spring will unwind.

The funny thing tho is that the spring did not catch onto anything and basically unwound half a revolution and did not move. i think it's due to the area circled in green blocking it from returning to the original position. that screw is so that when u twist the throttle there is an ending.

all in all i'm pleased with this fix for the heavy throttle on the fz6 but if u all want to try it do it at your own risk! just wanna share :angel:IMG_1846.jpg

Hi Dragonforce ..... thanks for the feekback ......if the bike is balck and stone hit on it become white you can get a very dark black marker to patch it ..... it look ok from far .... but if white colour is very diffcult to do such patching as most of the bike is peral white.... the marker white cannot blend in

Posted

therefore i think i will get the black colour easy to get a top box also..... i don't think have top box white colour right

Posted
didnt see pure white box before unless those ownself spray type.

But c before black on white box. Dun think is majority white either. :)

that is why i have make up my mind for black unit..... dont wish to buy a box then paint it white... i feel the paintwork dont last as good as stock

to me, for any vehicle, car or bike, white is damn nice haha

My previous VTR sp tank was so rusty that I send to this bike shop at Lavender near Singapore casket. Internal coated with white pain. So far past two years no problem.
