i'm using dragon super corsa sc2 rite nw....

i set my psi 33 front n back...

my question is, wen i brake b4 entering corner at PG, i felt dat my rear tyre glide 2 1 side... is it got anything to do wit d tyre pressure?

din hv dis prob b4 wen i ride my k5 600cc....

pls advise

tks

You are either downshifting too much (engine braking) or you are too hard on the front brakes while into the corner.

Supermotard riders like to apply alot of front brake while entering the corners to off load the rear wheel to initiate a rearwheel slide.. which is backing it in.

Mebbe you should ride a motard.. you might have a natural flair for it already.

I really doubt tyre pressures have anything to do with the bike stepping out when you are not leaned over in the corner yet.

Exactly the point there, Bro. When you do very hard front braking, the weight of the bike moves forward, off loading the rear and that might end with you fishtailing or if you can control it... back it in!!

REAR-SWAPPING Bike

Problem: When Bike gets on the brakes aggressively while approaching a corner, the bike's rear end begins to swap side-to-side, and feels as if it wants to pivot around the front.

Solution: The cause here is way too much front end weight transfer under braking. The front end is compressing so low that the bike's weight tries to pivot around the steering head, causing the side-to-side movement. The quickest solutions here are to increase the front fork spring preload and/or raise the front ride height by dropping the fork tubes in the triple clamps, or decrease the rear ride height by shortening the shock (if possible). Bike should try increasing the fork spring preload first, and progressing in small increments until the handling begins to be negatively affected (remember to watch the rebound damping when increasing the spring preload). If that doesn't work, Bike should try the ride height modifications; watch for adverse handling reactions in other areas when doing this as ride height changes drastically affect how the bike corners. Other solutions to try--although less effective--are to increase the compression damping in the forks (if possible), or to decrease rebound damping in the rear (to allow the rear tire to follow the pavement quicker). Again, Bike should watch for adverse handling reactions in other riding situations when test riding.

Hope That Helps.

Hi. Dragon Supercorsa Pro and Dragon Supercorsa Pro Pro Special Compound (SC) is different.

Dragon Supercorsa Pro is a previous models. Dragon Supercorsa Pro is only 1 comound. It is similar to RennSport.

Dragon Supercorsa Pro SC. It comes with 3 compound. It is similar to Racetec K2 or Pilot Power Race. Normally you can see this tyres on the racetrack. It is normally Dragon Supercorsa Pro SC2. This tyres have been used by all MSS racers.

Both the pattern looks similar. You can see the different from the sidewall. It will clearly indicate SC2. Both are race tyres.

My preference : for best setup of tyres for racing track.

1)Dragon Supercorsa Pro Pro SC1 front

2)Dragon Supercorsa Pro Pro SC2 rear

or

Michelin 2CT

But i would recommend the Supercorsa for street riding.

For overall 2CT will Tops

Yup, makes alot of sense to use race tyres on the street, since the Pirelli Dragon Supercorsas are street legal race tyres whereas the Michelin Pilot Power 2CTs are street tyres capable of handling trackdays.... and rainy days...

But there is adv and disadv of using Supercorsa.

Disadv :

It takes a long time to warm up. You need to really warm up the tyre before moving off.

Else it will be very Slippery. So pls be careful and take note.

Adv :

Once tyres heated up, Its super duper fantastic tyres

As for the 2CT.

Its a plug and play tyre for all scenario.

I tend to disagree. If one spends majority of the time on the street, 2CT will be the better choice, as it is designed for street usage, with minimal warm up time and good wet weather grip. Race tires do not perform as well on the street, as they will never be heated up enough to operate at optimal grip, and they are also inferior to street oriented tires in the wet.

If one spends most time on the track and occasional commute, then race tires makes sense.

If it's 50/50, I would think the rider is actually better off getting a second set of wheels. One set shod with track tires, the other on street tires.

You can't have your cake and eat it too.

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

IT is true that Supercorsa mayb not be to some ppl liking coz this tyre really needs a good wacking and constantly to keep its performance on the road as such it may not suites some ppl riding style.

As mention,

Some may like it some may not. Need not get a second tyre. just set ur priority right.

Stated above that 2CT is the Top and best option.

I have lots of guys who still prefer Supercorsa for street riding coz they are "hell riders".
