i would recommend you getting a super4

1. there is a 'service package' for super4 in almost every motorcycle servicing shop.

2. almost everything for super4 is readily available. (aftermarket, modifications, 2nd hand items etc...)

3. personally i'm riding spec3 and my fuel consumption is around 26-28km/l (i think this is considered very good mileage for a 400cc bike?)

just my own views and preference

Wow, ur FC is superb. How did u achieve that?

Last time no bike license, i see my friends ride their bikes can easily get chicks. So i get class 2B

After pass class 2B, buy Bajaj pulsar 180. No chicks come to me. Then my friend say must buy 400cc bike then the chicks will come.

So after pass class 2A, i buy super 4 weetec. Still no chicks come to me. Then my friend advise me must buy sporkbike, sure got chicks.

After pass class 2, i buy R6. But the chicks still don't come to me.

Now i sell all the bikes, and take public. Chicks automatically squeeze in front of me, behind me, and beside me in the train.

No pros for buying class 2A and Class 2. Only Cons leh.

:)

Didn't buy bikes for chicks, frankly didn't care if there was a pillion or not. They just come and go, then come again hahaha

One thing, how many litres is your tank and reserves?

You got to be proactive and ask chicks. They won't come to you. Go to other forum outing and bring spare helmet. From there, offer lift to girl home. Even if out of the way, still give them a lift and ride carefully. No stunts and showing off. If they like it, they might come back for more.

when a girl sits properly on the pillion seat of a class 2 sportsbike, leaning forward with arms around the waist of rider palms gripping the tank and thighs gripping the rider, the rider will be able to ride the bike without feeling the extra weight behind. like no pillion at all.

which is why i always say grab rails on tail units are stupid because any pillion gripping those grab rails is not helping the rider. pillion grab rails should be on the tank (but i dun know of any bike designed like that).

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

Honestly, alone, on any bike, pillion adds weight, screws my balancing, reduce power and whenever I see my blindspot, I see her/him looking at me. Only girl can hug, guy hug? No. End of story.

at the end of the day, i'm not here to 'encourage' pillion or anything like that.

i'm just sharing good pillion techniques. articles about proper pillion will all say this: "a good pillion is one that makes the rider feel like there is no pillion". before i adopted these techniques, i had all the typical problems, all stemming from the bike being unbalanced with the pillion. when i adopted the techniques, i myself was surprised that it really felt like there is no pillion.

the only disclaimer is that i make reference to a class 2 bike. if you pillion on a 2b, the techniques will still improve the balance, but there is nothing you can do about the engines and brakes being overwhelmed by the extra weight.

but if you dun believe me, or you just wont pillion for various reasons such as girl make noise, or dowan sit so close, or its gay for two guys to sit like that, then whatever. whover does do pillion though, may want to try the posture i mentioned.

i did not do much except

1. pump my tyre once a mth (i pump 250 front and 290 rear as i always pillion my gf)

2. topup when my fuel is left on the last bar and not going into reserve. i have found that if you go into reserve your petrol consumption will be quite bad, at least 1-2km/l increase. for my bike i always topup at 320km which is usually just before going into reserve for my bike

factors that i feel will affect:

1. i change gear at 5k rpm (i feel this is the best if i want speed and fuel savings)

2. i'm using 520 aluminium alloy sprocket and x-ring chain (much lighter than 525)

3. i got a scottoiler (my chain is always free of dirt and always has a coat of oil)

4. i'm using OWS 10w40 engine oil for quite a while (am going to change to 15w50 to test the fuel consumption)

5. i usually travel 15-25km per trip and is on expressway 80% of the time travelling at 100km/h

Didn't buy bikes for chicks, frankly didn't care if there was a pillion or not. They just come and go, then come again hahaha

spec 3 is 18L total ad 4L reserve?

Nice tips. I think Spec 3 is 15L + 3L reserve.

it could be my fuel level being faulty but i usually only require to top about 12L at 320. i could go up to 400km and only top about 14.5L
