No gf and no wife at the moment. That's why I'm thinking of investing on a pillion seat (if you get what I mean) :D

Yeah XR1200R is something like a naked street fighter + motard right? That's why I was telling mak that he should get something from a different genre (instead of another naked/street fighter/motard) if he is to get a 2nd bike to join his stable :)

For me, it's the other way round. I already got a Street Triple, that's why I wasn't looking for another sporty bike (although I like the 883R and XR1200R) when deciding on which Harley to get :)

Get your GF/Wife to take Class 2 and duplicate a set of keys for her.. solo seat problem solved!

Oh,this is wat XR1200 are made to do

Wah $500 seat VS $50, 000 car. I rather get the seat first

Anyway if the girl is going out with me because I have a car, then the girl is not right for me. I wouldn't even want to date her in the first place :p

Argh waiting for the arrival of a bike is darn torturing. Time seems to pass VERY slowly :(

a lot of nice girls dont want to ride a bike and prefer a car, partly cos the skirt might get tangled in the wheel and the nice hair will look compressed after wearing a helmet... cannot blame them la :) lady bikers are a rare gem

I have lowered the back by 1.75 inches and am contemplating about doing an inch at the front. Currently, i have to go slow on humps, if not a graaaakkk..... sound would be heard. Maybe we could meet up some day when they have the forum meet up and i can take a look at how the Dyna looks like when it is low....

hmmm.....got graaakk sound cos u ride too slow .....:angel:

The best way to cure the itch is to start buying parts first. That helps a lot.

Most experts aren't...and research is the difference between speculation and investment.

Hi christine55!

I wish I could start a shopping spree :D but those stuff are so costly :( and I don't know how the accessories will look on the bike without actually seeing it installed. How do you pple usually judge? Or simply take the plunge? Buy first then see how it look/work out on the bike?

I guess the first "upgrade" I'll do is to get either a 2-up seat or black Screamin' Eagle slipons and black heat shields. Still having a headache on deciding on which seat! (Badlander or Sidekick . . . Badlander or Sidekick . . . .). I prefer to get from H-D because I can order easily thru the dealership.

Oh BTW, I just got news that my bike will be in by end of September. But by the time it clears customs and stuff, it'll be October already :faint: YAWNS!!

@yohji

look at international hd forum lor, i seen your id at the xlforum, that is a good place to start, lot of ideas and pictures to look at and gives you an idea how your bike will turn out.

consider yourself lucky, when i booked my hd, it took 6 months before i actually see it physically and another 1 week to be able to collect and ride it

Hi Guys,

Any idea if a baffle can be reinstalled after it has been removed from an exhaust? If cannot reinstall after removal and I find it too loud, what are the options to make the exhaust quieter? slip-ons? after-market baffles?

Another thing, if you were to get a second-hand HD, where would you have it checked out by a mechanic? Places like Sunburst, Rosli or at HD? Thanks!

since the topic of exhaust is raised, i wonder if anyone has heard of this thing going round that we need to be extra vigilant these few weeks/months due to increased activity....?

I dont think you can remove the baffles and then put them back in. You have to drill out the baffles, so basically will dmage them so that you cant replace. I have heard the the SE slip ons arent very loud, but can remove those baffles and replace them to make them louder. Or for a cheaper alt, go on ebay and buy some stock pipes, must be tons out there in the US as no need to replace for inspection. Can take the baffles off and never put them back in.

true you cant use back the baffles that was drilled out, but you can get baffles from our local shop for around $30...i got them...:D ..but i think when i need to go for inspection, i will still change to my stock exhaust with baffles that is sitting in my store room.

Sorry guys, didn't do my homework. Dnish and Maxxmadness gave the answers already. So to confirm, i can get baffles and install them in my exhaust for inspection and then take them out after that?
