Official Monster Rider reporting! :cheeky:

Got my license yesterday and this morning rode my Monster to work. So happy!

Rehdeer, how contradicting...

(I assume you ride a vespa?)

I just got my vespa yesterday. Very slow but I felt happy even tho I was caught in the rain. Magical feeling...

And my Monster will be sold this Saturday. Gonna miss it but all cheers to the next owner.

If my destiny dictates, I may just own another duc a couple of years down the road.

dark_monster,

You need to ride the bike to get better! The more you ride, the better you get to know it and you'll enjoy it more. I guess you'll find a way to overcome the tip toe problem. I used to tip toe when riding my runner too but I got used to it after a while. Don't keep it in the car park lah, ride it! It is meant to be ridden!! It's a Ducati Monster for god's sake!! : )

Jess,

You have a MV?? Which one?? Brutale?? F4?? Woah really envy you. I don't mind riding the MV for you (after I get my class 2) hehe!!

Congratulations rehdeer!! That kind of feeling is shiok right!! Finally able to twist the throttle of the beast!! Ride safe though! Because it is hard not to be wild when on the Monster!! :shades: :D :clapping:

Mine is F4:cheeky: Still could not find the guts to ride her !!!

Yes I have a Vespa GT200 and have been riding it all these while. I love the Vespa, very easy to ride, especially in heavy traffic condition and I have gotten quite skilled squeezing traffic with it. The top speed isn't that bad, I've gone up to 130km/h on NSHW.

Today rode the Monster for the first time. Went into peak hour traffic on CTE in the morning, I'm back to staying behind cars, not squeezing like I did with the Vespa. Got to get used to the bike. The riding posture is not as relaxed as the Vespa, there is discomfort at the butt area and the left hand.

I am keeping the Vespa. Ride the Vespa when it rains, when I need storage space and when I have to pillion. Otherwise I'd ride the Monster

Jess and Daron, thanks!

YOHJI, thanks!!!

I'm riding safe for now, to the extent that it may actually be more dangerous, riding with the vans and trucks in the slow lane :p

Was wondering if I had needed to remove my clutch pressure plate and cover before going for inspection.

Just want to let you folks know that I passed my bike's inspection without having to remove them. Don't think my pipes would have passed though if I have not replaced them with the original Remus Aluminium cans.

All they asked was why my bike's engine sounded so loud. I told them it was the sound of the dry clutch.

Cheers!

wah Monster stopped by ROV! So what did he checked and any idea why did he stopped you?? I always think that ROVs don't bother about Ducatis. Because we are "naturally" loud.

I've seen some people lock their full face with cables, then tie a plastic bag around the helmet to secure it.

If you have a soft luggage, the jacket can be stowed and locked. then carry helmet. Get a big haversack that can carry a helmet ... the Deuter Radar model can carry a full face and a raincoat in it; and it's not that big. But not cheap; about 70 bucks.

For me, I'll juz carry a helmet bag in a small deuter hydrobag, the jacket goes intothe hydrobag, and the helmet goes into the helmet bag.

Yo, Jade .. long time no see .. when meet for coffee? found your dream luggage bag yet?

Cheers

Cat

Haha... indeed, it's been quite a while!

Yeah, I have been using a couple of small adidas bags on my sides. Yellow to match my bike!! I like the looks of it. Been useful too!

Sighh... my front, right signal light is broken liao. Need to go buy.... B4 CNY, had to change my left, now my right. Rubber decaying, i suppose?

Hehe yah loh. Then I no need to be afraid liao because I don't think any male TPs will be interested to chat up with me. But it's hard to tell because I'm wearing a FF helmet.

So have it ever happened to you Jess? Hehe, BTW you collected your bike already? I saw it last weekend at KC. The silver M600 right? I'm heading down to KC again this weekend. Tired ... of visiting bike shops and spending money ...

Jade,

Just curious, do you have any picture of your bike with those Addidas bags mounted on? Just wanna see how it looks like.

He stopped me, asked if that was a Ducati Monster and how many CC... then he looked at the bike and asked about my rear hugger (forgot what he asked) and I said I dunno... then he asked for my road tax, I said dunno got bring or not... then he said nevermind and he called to check... then he said Maam you can go now.
