Same here. Will get the mech to deal with it. Also I don't need to do mine until December when my next service is due.

What model Denso plugs you using? Z1000 is IU27A. They don't have :( Not that cheap as I can get them @ S$20 each, but Singapore has no stock for Z1000. Hopefully some workshop still has old stock.

Currently using NGK CR9EK, normal SP, I bought it from KS (Suzuki agent) for $8ea as I worried of getting a fake plug. As stated in the service manual, Z750 SP is the same for Z1000 Gen 1. For Denso equivalent it's U27ETR, frankly NGK or Denso I find no difference in performance.

Anway I think MXtradings don't sell Denso iridium SP for motorcycle as I only saw these are available

Available Part No for Motorcycle:

BR7EIX - S$11 per plug

BR8EIX - S$11 per plug

BR9EIX - S$11 per plug

BR10EIX - S$11 per plug

CR8EIX - S$11 per plug

CR9EIX - S$11 per plug

DR8EIX - S$11 per plug

DR9EIX - S$11 per plug

DCPR8EIX-11 - S$11 per plug

DCPR9EIX-11 - S$11 per plug

Special Ducati Plug

MAR10A-J - S$30 per plug

The old plugs on my bike was CR9EIX iridium spark plug which cost $11ea as stated, so this should fit the Z1000 Gen 1. Since its only $12 difference for 4 spark plugs going to get these for my next servicing.

I am neg with a Ebay seller for the following Hotcams valve shim combination, hopefully he is agreeable as I think unlikely I will need 1.2 to 2.4.

2.50 6

2.55 6

2.60 6

2.65 6

2.70 6

2.75 6

2.80 6

2.85 6

2.90 6

2.95 6

3.00 6

3.05 6

3.10 6

3.15 6

3.20 6

3.25 6

3.30 6

3.35 6

3.40 6

3.45 6

Total 132 shims for approx S$90 better than the refill kits and more coverage of size.

So if your mech don't have the available shims for swap I can sell it to him hahaha...$8 ea.

My next oil change going to try the Schaeffer 9000 5w50 fully syn EO, only $13 per quart from MX tradings.

Supreme 9000 5W-50 Racing Oil

Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 is a premium quality, full synthetic heavy-duty multi-grade engine oil that is specially formulated to reduce friction and wear, increase engine efficiency, provide fuel economy benefits and extend engine life in all types of gasoline engines and diesel powered passenger cars including those that are turbocharged or supercharged.

Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 is blended from a unique combination of polyalphaolefin (PAO) synthetic base fluids and severely hydrocracked synthetic base fluids. This unique combination provides Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 with many advantages.

Faster Cold Weather Starts

Supreme 9000 SAE 5W-50 provides faster cold cranking and engine startability than engine oils that are formulated using conventional base oils at low temperatures. It flows rapidly at low temperatures thus providing the optimum protection that an engine needs at low temperature startup.

Reduced Engine Wear

Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 contains a highly advanced proprietary performance additive package and shear stability viscosity index improver along with two proven friction modifiers: Micron Moly®and Penetro®. These two friction modifiers plate the surfaces to prevent metal-to-metal contact resulting in:

Increased fuel economy.

A low coefficient of friction.

Significantly less bearing, ring, piston,

cylinder and valve train wear.

Increased engine efficiency.

Increased engine life.

Less down time.

Reduced maintenance costs.

4-Cycle Motorcycles and ATV Engines

Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 is also recommended for use in all 4-cycle air-cooled or water-cooled motorcycle and ATV engines. Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 can also used in those motorcycles that have a common sump for the engine and transmission.

Supreme 9000 Racing Oil SAE 5W-50 meets and exceeds the following specifications and manufacturers' requirements: MIL-PRF- 46152E, CID A-A-52039B, API Service Classification SM/CF, Ford M2C153-G, ESR-M2C127-B, ESR-M2C179A, SSM 29011-A, WWS-M2C929A; General Motors specification 6049M and 4718M, ACEA A1/B1-04, ACEA A3/B4-04, Daimler Chrysler 229.1, 229.3, and MS9767, MS 6395; Mercedes Benz MB226.5, JASO JIS K2215 and VTW, Porsche and BMW specifications, and Volkswagen 501.01/505.00

Z1000

Machine price $21k

OTR is $27k

If it's the cheaper price, it'll be flying out of showrooms. That's Fazer price region.
