Got it from Alleniate. Nice, pleasant gentleman. :)

He was asking for $1800, but I bargained it to $1700.

Which was just nice, the $100 was needed to change oil, filter and add coolant, plus a little extra in case I need to change the brake pads later.

So I considered it a fair deal.

Tip for you if you are thinking of getting a GSXR.

Heard that there was a guy who got a Yellow GSXR with nice new coat of paint when I was at Planet and heard he wanted to trade it for a Scrambler.

I don't have the guy's details, so if you want to meet up with him to trade, you will have to ask the mech at Planet. ~The Plump fellow with the specs.

Hmm. Another G4 rider?

well you do understand that you are riding an old bike. if you wish to keep using your bike, do consider changing your wiring harness to a new one, if its obvious that your wiring harness has never been changed from the day it rolled out of the factory. clues would be chautar marks, and electrical tape everywhere.

im riding a g4 myself. its pretty good stuff. dont like how exposed the engine casing is though.

Weather: Hot

On my way to Planet, I met a cute girl on a DR200 Scrambler, (FU2287U) quite friendly too! :lovestruck:

Chatted with her a bit during the red lights. :smooch:

Rode with her quiet a distance before splitting of to my favorite Planet.

Gosh! For once, I wished there were more Red Lights on the route I was going. :shy:

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Ahhh.... It seems only a few days ago that I last visited my favorite Planet.

Oh wait! It really was only a few days ago that I visited my favorite Planet! :cheeky:

When I reach Planet, first thing I did was to greet Ah Chong

Me: "Hey I am back!"

Ah Chong: "Of Course lah! Buy this type of old bike sure come back!"

Asked him why my Engine Oil indicator light occasionally lights up when I free wheel for long distances.

Ah Chong said Old Bikes sometimes eat engine oil, and topped up the Engine Oil with the 1/2 bottle I left with him the last time I was here. No service Charge. :thumb:

Next I asked him why the Brakes got a "Ermmmm..." Sound

Ah Chong explained that the brake pads are a bit hard, so got sound.

Can still brake one. No need to change. Again, No charge. :thumb:

If I were to go to other shops, they will probably take the opportunity to chop, say the brakes must change, may even brake disk too.

Next I asked him if he got sell the road tax disc cover.

Ah Chong told me "Round one don't have, square one have!"

And he really got a rectangle one!

Then he told me the disc need to fold, if don't want to fold, can buy from the shop next door.

So I went to the next shop, the shop after that, and the one next to it...

All don't have, until the last ASP shop.

The Boss at ASP very nice, gave me one for free!

Ups for ASP! :thumb:

Then Ah Chong help me fix it onto my GSXR Windshield for Free!

And while he was at it, he also help to replace a missing screw on my fairings.

Again Free of charge, although he joke that he will charge me $10 for the screw later.

After that I bought 2 fuses from Ah Chong.

Ah Chong asked me "Can don't take your money or not?"

(Really want to give me everything F.O.C today.)

I very pai seh, told him :Not used to it leh!" :cheeky:

While I was there, I met a new Phantom rider.

Ah Chong "Si Bei" Funny ask him to put his head on the bike to hear if the bike is telling him that it is out of battery! He really go and put! Hahaha!

After that I left Planet.

Total spending at Planet

1. 2 x fuses

2. Topping up of engine oil

3. Replacement of missing screw

4: Fixing of new road tax disc cover

Total = $1.00

What I really like about Planet is their honesty and friendly boss/ staff.

No BS.

Encountered and read too much about shite shops in Singapore makes supporters like us appreciate Planet more.

Thumbs up for Planet.

1 Finger to the crap shops.

27th time at Planet! :)

18/11/2008

01:30pm

weather: Fine

Went to Planet today to get my GSXR ready for the Desaru trip.

Got a whole list of stuff.

First thing to fix is the reserve fuel ****

alamak! quoted $170 for the parts alone!

Wow didn't know the tap like thing was so expensive!

Next, Ah Chong tested the bike and told me the clutch is worn, advise to fix, so that can change gear easier!

Saw that the carburator was leaking. So that explains the poor F.C... :(

Left the list with the bike, as I had to work.

Came back at night. 07:30pm Wow! Mark was still at it.

Saw Lawbah and his S4.

Thatone1 and his Yamaha Majesty too!

So 'Zhun' talk **** with them for a while.

Finally, finished everything by 08:40pm even though closing time was officially 7pm. Very professional, promised to finish by tonight, really do O.T to finish the job. :thumb:

List of thing done.

1. New Fuel **** $140 (Gave discount!)

2. Clutch $95

3. New meter

4. Lining

5. Workmanship (including fixing of stebel horn) $20

6. Engine oil (1 bottle) $10

7. Coolant (1 bottle) $5

Total bill $300.

Wanted to change thermometer and brake disk too, but no parts for it. :(

Next time then! :D
