Looi's Meng tong is friendly and experience...Highly recommended

Got one dunno what name at looi's... abit fat fat one...very Yaya papaya!! Change my Spark Plug and Fuel Pump face black black...tok to him like PMS....my fren let him change spark plug...one top screw of the Air Filter did not put back.

Totally agree with you bro. Am another victim. That fat guy is good for nothing. He dont know anything about NSR SP atleast. I put new battery @ Looi's recently & had to go back twice for check. 1st he confirmed battery spoiled; replacement next day. He asked me to leave the bike their & come back next day.. next day that fat @$%h0le telling same battery is good but rectifier spoiled charging me 70 $. it came as a shock; as after few days again battery started giving problems..

This is the kind of service Looi's motor offering; least bothered to entertain unknown person..

Anyone tried F.T Fast Track at autobay before? Went there for some service for me, not bad. But a friend of mine went there and said will nv return due to the expensive charges. Anyone else?

Completely agree with 'quick789'

That fat guy @ Looi's motor is disaster. I put new battery; had to go twice for check. That fat guy said its spoiled after & will be available next day. He asked me to leave the bike there. Next day that @$^Ole saying battery has no problem; its the rectifier.. charged 70 $. thats a good lesson for me; wont go ever...

Guys,

Check bikeworkz out...I have been there for ages...talk no use, you will know what I mean when you go there....look for boss "ah-beng"...

If you are looking for reasonable prices and not get "carrot head" even you know nothing about bikes this is the place to go.

They have experienced mechanics and provides good service at a good price.

The only con is: due to the popularity, the waiting time is long depending on the work needed to be done on your bike.

You decide...Cheers!

Hi,

I was recommended to Sanfu by my UK colleague. He has been their regular for 4-5years.

I started on my bike since Jun last year. Had issues with my previous yishun mechanic who sold me my bike. Issues after buying bike was about the reliability of the parts and giving explanations instead of repairs (so fixing is not required but things break down). So after 3months later, I change mechanic (from yishun to Sanfu). I have been a Sanfu bike shop user ever since they rework on the gearbox, engine work of my second-hand bike. I also go there for maintenance while I go to the nearby mosque on Friday which is super convenient. I leave the bike there , attend Friday prayers and collect bike after prayers.

Good that the shop is very accessible from kaki bukit ave 1 as there is a direct bus from my home in Hougang. It was convenient when I had to do repairs and bike was in the shop (causes due to yishun mechanic fail to do repairs) I do not worry about transport to Sanfu. Been to HLC at Autobay but it is much further from the main road. Troublesome if your bike is in the workshop. It will take 10-15minutes walk into the place.

Recommend to have emergency bike tow to Sanfu and pick it up after repairs.

I just had a very bad exp with one of the biggest shop in Yishun Industrial Park A (S**N H^%) I've been servicing my bikes there for a couple of yrs. The mechs over there are friendly and honest but i've nothing much to comment abt the boss cause he is way too F UP.

What happened was that one fine day, my bike died on me. On that night, I transported my bike over but the shop was closed. I decided to leave my bike there overnight. I called one of the mech to inform him regarding my bike parking (Main Stand) there. He acknowledged. The next morning, I went to the shop and found my bike moved position and was clusted tgt with alot of damaged bike. There were deep scratches and dents on my bike. Most of the mech and the boss knew that it was my bike

I asked the mechs but everyone said they knew nothing abt it. The boss said when he arrived at the shop, my bike was already dropped on the floor. He also said that my bike was parked outside the shop and it was none of his business. I argued with him but all he did was just to push responsibilities.

You guys be the judge

Hi guys, using this forum lately to check out the scene and really get some help / knowledge .

Previously was a regular at YP motor two years back. Ever since then doing my own servicing , only for tyre change would I go back to them .

Anyone care to share their exp lately?

Ok. Shall start something myself.

Date: 2006-2009 exact dates could not rmb

Shop Name: YP Motors

Address: BLK 9004 TAMPINES STREET 93, #01-92 Singapore 528838

Tel: 67871335 (Ah Kim/the other boss, head mechanic think his name is Alan or Adrian.can't rmb, used to call him ShiFU/Zhiwei)

What service/product did you purchase?

EO change, oil filter, air filter, tyre changes, breakdowns all try to send there.

Good working LED strip lights and volt meter that are still working till now. Nanotech balls (increase FC type technology, similar to broquet

Fix new ERP unit. Paint job on rear fender, bike was parked and kena small dent in by a long big bus that tried to squeeze in Geylang Lor19 a* hole

Bike alarm. some work on my brake fluids and reservoir.

Level of service: 9.5

Level of knowledge: 8.5

Level of value for money: 9

How happy are you overall? 9

What makes this shop commendable? (give details..)

If you are looking for a bike which has a clean outlook. Has staff or few staff that will take attention to your bike immediately when you arrive. Look no further. YP motors is the shop for you.

Its customer base is more likely those who can afford a little more on the extra side, if you compare against prices at ah boy or other greasy cluttered shops. Kim's shop gave me the impression of what the motorbike shop should be for the Asian/Japanese market, similar to the US market for servicing Harleys where they charge for workmanship. Its a premium as they exhibit and maintain a professional shop front. Provide good customer service.

Going down at weekday afternoons probably will see one other rider there and another "fall-in" after you. Just nice if you ask me. Not too little, not too much. waiting time etc..

Weekends probably sometimes have to wait awhile while they multi-task.

Surprised to see that this shop was not mentioned yet.

anyone can recommend me shop near woodlands area i needa get my stock front fork fixed. apparently when i skidded last time and replaced the stock with a new one they gave me a lousy one so when i crashed again last nite and went to bedok area to replace the rim and the T-shaped part that's above the front forks the mechanic saw that the new forks were slanted again. so he recommend me to bring the stock forks down for them to reshape or sth. but bedok is really kinda too far. so i'ld appreciate any suggestions. thanks!

Anyone have bad experience with Future scootering?

I went there and had a practically a brand new bell and clutch changed, I had sent a piaggio there for servicing on behalf of a friend, so I told the mechanic there to check the bike and give it a service! the mechanic said the bell and clutch was worn out etc.....so he replaced a uprated one etc. When my friend returned to Singapore I found out that he had only just had the bell and clutch replaced by Future only 2 months before! I brought the bell and clutch back with me and shown it to people in the know and they confirmed that it was still new! one even said that it was not really run in yet!
