In any case, if you were to seek advice from here on mods, Yas would be one of the most qualified to answer you considering the number of modifications he's done to his ride. This being the phantom community we can help you if you want to install apes on a phantom BUT if you want to do that on a fino we probably can't help. I doubt any of us know the specs of a fino or shops which specialise in modding them. Perhaps your question's lack of replies is simply because you posted it in a forum unqualified to answer it; I hope you find better luck elsewhere.

I think the only thing thats gonna constraint you is the cables...and maybe the clamp depending on the thickness of ur ape....where u get ur bars? how many inch?

for a ape u still can get it from cheong aik. but i not sure abt the thinkness of your fino stock handle bar. most bar for phantom is 7/8inches and 1 inches for bigger cruiser.

u gotto change all your wiring as stated by blacknese if the ape is too high. i have tried 13 inches ape for my ride and gotto change the whole set of wiring. so anything higher then tat sure gotto change.

or the last option is to go seng kuang at AMH industrial park 2 to get it customise but u gotto pay for the price.

 

hmm... a maybe 10 inches ape on a fino sure draws alot of "whao" attention man! looks good to me thou. A man's meat is another man poison. So juz go ahead with wat theme u wan your ride to have. I do have quite a few ppl giving diff comments on my ex phantom or my current ride but as long as your are happy with it who cares man.haha...

Relax percussion guy, dun take to heart okie. Mebbe u can go to shops where cruisers normally go coz normally cruisers have lots of custom stuffs done to them. Alternately u can try go to the SBF cruisers thread and look for the thread "Riots Den". There's a guy there who customs stuffs to bikes.....in a huge way. If u cant find ppl to help u create ur own original ride, im sure X-iled from "Riots Den" might be able to help u yah bro. Cheers and peace no war!

No worries, sorry too if i hadn't been sensitive enough. It is an extreme modding deviation in terms of social perception. But then again, like DragonLee said, a man's meat is another man poison.

 

But if you really do intend to get the ape, perhaps some ideas....

- get an ape that fits stock risers (by off-the-shelf or custom-ordered), or

- get an off-the-shelf ape and customize a matching pair of risers, or

- customize a one-piece ape without risers to screw in directly to triple tree.

Blackenese, I got my bars in thailand. It is slightly less than an inch.

 

DragonLee, I went to wingyap and was told they can "extend" the wiring. Is it even possible? I think it will weaken the whole thing. Might even snap the wiring.

Its alright to extend the wiring, people do that all the time when they install beach bars or apes. Er if they don't know what risers are just roughly explain lor, 'the parts with holes to put the handle bar' something like that haha.

They call them risers itself... Regarding the wirings, yes you can extend the electrical stuff, but the throttle and clutch cables, can't extend them (or at least to my knowledge) - gotta get a longer pair that suits your Fino.

electrical cables for apehangers are done by joining another long wires to match your apes. clutch and throttle cable can also be extended by joining, provided the guy knows how to do it. other wise you need to custom made, try asking madman for it. breakhose no choice but to custom made.
