Hmmm does the CBR400R you have run on the inline 4 vtec or the parallel twin it has previously?

The extra power at >7k is something that's really addictive.... and dangerous... just wondering whether you have gone to the "dark" side yet hahaha

Sorry pardon me but I've never heard of a CBR400 having inline 4 vtec before.

It is a 1997 CBR400RRR Inline 4.

i think its me... cause i thought the CBR and CB engine are the same... or so i thought...

went to read up a little... apparently only the super 4 has vtec engines installed.

And another interesting read... the CBR seems to have a gear cam instead of the usual chain cam... which means this is one super lasting engine! woot. good buy.

Do they make 2A students fail often like they do for 2B?

Not really. Show them about 60% and they'll pass you.

I guess as long as you can clear the stations and show that your safety checks are still intact 2&2A have more passing rate.

2A / 2 is much easier compared to 2B, if you have been riding for 1 year of course. It's not uncommon for people to pass all lessons plus TP on their first try, or perhaps two tries for bumpy course.

Finally pulled the trigger and enrolled for 2A after 2.5years of riding around on a 2B bike.

Noticed that 2A also got practical orientation, just come earlier for 1st practical can already right? Cant see the option to book online.

Orientation? No there isn't. Unless you consider the refresher talks as orientation.

Oh. Cos the booklet has a page on Practical Orientation.

Finished theory lesson last wk, 1st prac this Saturday! Can't wait.

Normally how many tries does it take to clear all the lessons? Hoping I can clear in time to book TP slot by Jan '16.

Definitely can. Some people one attempt per lesson. Some about two attempts per lesson. It depends.

I've enrolled at CDC as well. Haven't ridden for the past 6 years since after my accident. It's difficult man. Feel like a newbie trying on 2B.

Abt 7.5 mths more before i can enroll. Still some way to go, but starting to get impatient for some action.

But just curious.... what is the theory lesson all abt actually? Anything like what we did for rtt or drc?

The theory lesson is just an informational session about being safe on the road. And some evasive techniques. But be punctual though. The instructor is quite anal about that.

Thks for the reply. How was the slalom & bumpy?

Met 1 guy during a kopi session who just started 2a lessons & was griping abt slalom. Said the wide crash bars always touched the cones. Instructor explained the wide crash bars were to simulate panniers! I certainly dont recall ever seeing any 400cc bike with panniers. Panniers ive only seen on cl 2 tourers. So logic escapes me a bit there. haha...
