i just got back from work with an aching back when i spotted 2 guys squatting at my dad's vespa. i slowly creep up to them and saw them letting out the air out of the tyres and giggling. i tapped one of them on the shoulder and grabbed his t-shirt. the other one managed to bolt away. they turned out to be kids. i told him what he's doing to the bike. this is what he answered to me, "my friends are coming down to beat you so hard you'll eat through a straw" in malay.

fortunately, his threats were heard by a passer-by who called the cops. even knowing that the cops are on the way, he still cursed me this and that, swinging his arm here and there trying to break the hold i have on him.

so much for being a tough kid but when the cops came he turned his story around saying i'm trying to beat him up. the passer-by told the cops about the threat and i explained to the cops what he was doing to my dad's vespa. then the kid broke into tears and said sorry abang i won't do it again. he admitted to the cops what he have done. i told the cop that i'm not going to press any charges against the threat nor the vandalism. i just want that kid to feel how its like to be taken away in a cop car, interogated and have his parents called up at 1am to bail their son out but the cops advice me not to go soft on these punks cos he's only 15, and if at this young age he can start threatening people like that, we cannot imagine what he can physically do in 10 years time. the cops took him to the station, while i rode behind to give my statement at the station.

didn't wait for the parents to come though as i'm very tired. didn't know what happened to the other kid. i just hope that one i caught will learn his lesson not to mess around with people's bikes, especially when the owner is a 68-year old man who takes pride in maintaining his vespa, only riding it to the mosque for his morning prayers.

I think its just you.Don't bother about it, roads ahead are much important.either you slow down and let them pass or you don't look.Simple.

P-plate should be an attitude to safety and riding. There's always more to learn.

NIce deed u done but doing a gd deed may not help him it may backfire .

thats why i told the cop i won't want to press charges as it'll destroy that kid's future. i did mention to the IO to go easy on that kid, give him a stern warning till he sh*t his pants, not throw him into boys home where he'll only become worse.

Today while riding to JB. I stopped at at the traffic light waiting for green to turn right to Petronas. Skali heard a Siren and came this Malaysia TP. He stopped in front of me and point his Godly finger at me and points it again toward the direction of the road shoulder.

I suck at hand signals so I dun understand...hehehe. I seriously dunno what he wants. But what I know...i did turn right and was about to slow down when this malaysia car horn me to go. W/o knowing I did a hard pick-up to get away from the car and never even stip until I reach PETRONAS...hehe. Kinda scared also skali he chased me and charge me for running away. I waited but he never turn up. In the end I top up petrol, buy some food and return home. Wat a day to make me scared. damns...

Instead of TP spending their time catching people who wait at ERP, shouldn't they spend the manpower to catch these show offs and idiots on the road?

I haven't decided yet on these, who i hate more. Young chaps who drives these sports cars or uncles who think they own the road and run you over and then can tell ppl, I didn't see the biker... :sian:

both are equally bad. one could be inexperienced but love the thrill the older one thinks he's v experienced and couldn't care less....it's no longer just speeding that is dangerous but more so dumbfcuk, irresponsible & impatient drivers!!

my plc is near to bt timah where lots of rich daddies live w their spoilt kids, so perhaps am quite suay tat i always have to come across not only gigantic lexus, mpvs but lots of modified cars.....johan you are an exception hehe

Bro, i think you have got patience which is good but if it was me i would really be so mad especially towards my own parents vehicle and so old, imagine what would happen if any thing misfortunate happens due to such an act. These people should be punish for it to let them learn a lesson.

I applaud what you did. It really teaches these young punks a lesson. But at the same time, if could explain to the kid that his actions could have severe consequences like causing an accident. Ask him to imagine if it was his parents instead... what would he feel?

But seriously speaking, aren't you worried that they will target your dad's vespa even more now?

i told my dad what happened when i woke up this morning. he was furious at first saying why didn't i call him down so he could teach the kid a lesson. i adviced my dad to cover his bike and lock it at the same time.

anyway if my dad's vespa has a 12-volt battery, i'll install an alarm for him. got a spare 1-way lying around somewhere.

Punishing(Teaching) your kids yourself is always better than letting them off always... leaving other people (inclusive of police and judges) to teach your kids for you later... remember you had the joy and excitement of making them.. so others who had no share of that may not be as kind in teaching...

If only parents nowadays can put at least half the enthusiasm they had in making their kids into their proper upbringing... this world will be a much better place...
