GovermenD should come out wif a law those caught using hp while drivin have to face min 3-6months jail term and have the license revoke. Sure tis kind of things will lessen.

Just like way back in the 80s when they wanna clamp down on heroin, those caught smugglin more than how much how much will be hanged.... Soon, even though there still will be smugglers... But the satistic drop dramatically rite?

Sigwhoreans esp driving big cars are usually rich pple who can afford being fined over and over again. But try takin their license away and they have to retake, surely they will think twice about using hp while drivin again.

Just MHO. Dun flame.

Just wanna add on a a little more.

N also GovermenD should also come out wif a law such as, in any accident, no matter who is in the right of way, as long as anybody who uses the road causes the death of another road user shall be jail for life or hanged. I'm sure we will see alot more cautious drivers on the road. Checking every single blind spot and mirror they ought to. No more driving like they own the road. No more such thing as 50-50 at traffic junctions, pple wun dare to beat the red lights anymore.

I noe it wun happen. Just MHO aso.

unfortunately, i have to agree with you bro...

the vince macmahon video brings back memories back in those days when i was still following the WWF era... loves how stone cold always gave him a stunner... :cheeky:

unless the new transport minister also has a passion for riding and totally understands us from a rider's perspective, there might be a genuine chance.

was just thinking. perhaps the current system for points for cars, should be ammended to be the one like for bikes. only registered drivers can drive certain vehicles for personal usage. don't talk about cargo vehicles.

problem is, even if we manage to capture the offending person (let's take using hp while operating motor vehicle) on video, along with face and license plate. AND we send it in to TP. it's likely all they'll do is send a letter requesting driver's particulars no? if the dude's dad is already ancient and incapable of driving, but has an immaculate driving record (he having not driven for years), he can just use the dad's particulars. unlikely the TP will actually bother with digging up the pictures of the person whose particulars are provided and/or request for the person to report at TP dept no? or do they actually do so? let's say that it's not for serious chargable offences, where court appearance or kopi sessions are required at tp hq. e.g. speeding +20.

these fellas, they have an unlimited pool of points, as long as they can find someone willing to "tah" for them. fine, just pay lor, points can qia someone else. and it's happened before, what with the case of the lady driver who drove client or something's car w/o license, then finding friend to get someone else to take the rap. and that someone else, already due for court appearance for revokable violation, so nothing to lose.

in other words, as long as some rich fella with friends willing to take points for him, has these friends, he can jolly well speed and drive recklessly for all he cares.

just ranting. and my 2cents worth of thoughts.

and, perhaps implement a staggered system like for bikes. yes, more powerful bikes = harder to control = more self-created accidents. then again, more powerful cars also allow for more driver error for those inexperienced in handling vehicles. and they're not just a danger to themselves, but to other innocent parties! i mean, p-plate can buy whatever damned car. go test drive friend's car also can, then cannot control, crash.

more rants n raves.

Smile! Tomorrow will be worse.

used the finger on the road for the first time just now. car from turn right + straight lane just cut out without signal, cos the cars infront of it were waiting to turn. he cut right into my path and i had to hit my brakes hard to avoid hitting his rear. cars are usually travelling fast on this road as its downslope, luckily there were no cars behind me. i got really hot and horned at him. he stuck out a hand to apologize.

i know its illegal to use the finger. so i didnt point it at the driver. a madass rider who i overtook shortly before the incident caught up with me, he prolly saw what happened. he gestured towards the car which was infront of us. so i gestured back and pointed the finger, indicating how effed up that driver's action was. madass rider, if you see this, the middle finger wasnt for you. incase it wasnt clear. he may have thought i was pointing it to him instead.

my dad was involved in a car kiss car kiss car accident at this same spot years ago. always had his advise in mind when i pass this road(almost daily). its after amk ave 1 exit, the junction of amk ave 1 and lor chuan. becareful of the slope, fast cars, traffic light, and cars that want to cut out from the right turn + go straight lane.

I am gonna road hog lane 1.. :cheeky: Gonna ride 95km/hr at that lane.. Confirm alot of cars will be pissed by it.. LOL

I always use the finger.... but the index one..... just wag it like a no-no sign if its minor. Chop stick gesture to the eyes for blind drivers...

For very close call.... no need any gesture... follow the bugger home, so that we can have a nice friendly conversation about what happened and go for tea and biscuits afer that.... jolly good !!!

sometimes i think it's better to brake than to horn because drivers always give the excuse to us riders saying that they cant see us

i agree on this so much that i have totally given up on horning. on a small bike, i just brake and let them eat me. on a bigger bike, i just whack throttle and get out of trouble. use horn, no difference. so many times, i press the horn for so long( 4-5 secs) but the car still bo chap and slowly cut into my lane.

Not that I have anything against women drivers... but these 2 just happen to be of the fairer sex. o_O:(

female drivers are actually better than male drivers. they are just blur and need a horn and some gestures to wake up their minds. male drivers are just plain egoistic and seem hell-bent to make my life difficult.

a few days ago, i was riding slower than normal as it was drizzling. i was just going straight on a normal road when a van on the opposing lane made a right turn into a carpark. he was just a few metres away from me and i had no way to swerve away from him as i was riding too slow. was he really that blind that he couldn't see me or did he purposely want to make me slow down for him to make the turn? in the end, i went easy on the brakes since the road condition was wet. and i had to turn left, following his direction while braking since i had no more stopping distance between me and him.

the best thing is that when both me and him finally came to a stop, i stared at him and he stared back at me as if it was all my fault. bloody hell!

just now, even better! i was turning right(after bbdc and just before bt gombak mrt). after the turn, i saw a van turning left and the car in front of him was also turning left into the carpark, so i just slowly rode a bit on the right side of the lane to overtake them both when the car in front was actually turning left to make a quick U-turn!! i had to brake hard or else i would have kissed his sides of the car. only when he saw me, then he braked hard, with his car nicely half in between both lanes. i stared at him and he stared back at me as if i owe him a million dollars. with no apologies, he hit hard on his acceleration and completed the illegal U-turn on his WRX.

lol, that would be funny to see..but might get dangerous if they start overtaking without bothering to change lane :(

wow..ur very brave to go confront the driver..and he even knows what he did wrong, yet still did it and wanna argue back? :sian:

i agree they cant see us..thats why must horn and force them to see us, or at least look ard see where the sound is coming from..

for the ones who do see and choose to ignore..thats when the horning becomes useless :faint:

everyday on the road, i remind myself to relac jack and ride safely.

yet, im reminded by THE other road users that if im not slightly faster than them, im in danger!

my dad was involved in a car kiss car kiss car accident at this same spot years ago. always had his advise in mind when i pass this road(almost daily). its after amk ave 1 exit, the junction of amk ave 1 and lor chuan. becareful of the slope, fast cars, traffic light, and cars that want to cut out from the right turn + go straight lane.

this applies to ALL go straight/ turn right or left lanes.

Agreed. I still can remember i once horn (for 2-3secs) a driver while lane splitting coz he wanted to change lane without any signals.

He moved back in, waited for me to come up beside his car, gave me a stare and swerved his car towards me. Lucky i manage to open my throttle in time to get away from that ba*tard.

just saw a TP pulling a van over by the roadside along AYE..

best part, i wasn't riding.. i just looked out from my office, and so happened to see a TP passing by.. 5secs later, the TP sounded his siren and signaled to the driver to pull over..

on a sidenote, i think if i were to own a 4 wheel, i will chiong with those buggers who change lane and dun signal.. and claim their insurance jialat jialat.

car spoil nvm, just need to shoot up their premium.. let them heart pain the following year when they pay their premium..

nowadays those tiong cias (modded cars) think they are the king of the roads. my bf on his rvf and r1 had been disturbed by them for umpteen times especially ard 12mn or 1am when he is going home from my place and all he did was to open throttle and avoid them asap. so the modded cars tot my bf was playing with them and they gave chase. they can only LL and suck thumb when they know that they can't catch up with him and lost the outrun

aft the uncle said that, i just walked off. didnt even want to bother abt him. in the 1st place, he started to irritate me at the entrance of the car park by shouting and horning at me to move towards the barrier when i was already on the intercom with the carpark personnel. due to his shouting and horning, i couldnt even hear what the person was saying through the intercom that i scolded the uncle. think the person hear that and faster open the barrier for me to enter.
