As for International Plaza, can try to get season for $20 if you're working there. Otherwise, it's total BS.

I used to park there, now gave up liao. Feel victimised.

Got bumped by an angmo once at Geylang, cos he was so busy staring at the girls standing along the streets... ahaha... he apologised so let him go, after all, we're all men mah. :)

Smooth traffic at 70kph on the BKE southbound about to turn into PIE under the ERP gantry, some Toyota Vios driver was "lanesplitting" between Lane 1 and 2. What happened was he was travelling on Lane 1 and changed to Lane 2 without signalling or checking blind spot and when he realised there was a bike on Lane 2 he decided to force me out of lane after realising he was driving between the lanes. Hit my right pannier. ALL traffic slowed down.

I stopped right in front of him and told him not to deliberately attack motorcycles. Pointed out example that all the other lighter bikes passing by have -no- protection to collisions = possibility of immediate injury or death. Want to become a murderer? Hinted that he almost did become one.

Said I will not claim or make reports but... Don't threaten motorcycles with your car.

After the confrontation I went to the road shoulder to double check for damages and saw 2 LTA officers and their YBRs parked there. They were totally busy photgraphing vehicles passing by the ERP gantry and didn't give a **** to the above incident. Asked me to "go report police lah".

Wtf. Wonder what would happen if a J-plate get killed right in front of them.

Wah Lao! A cop when you need one, but they don't want to do anything even when an accident has happened!!!! WTH???!!!!?

Everyone knows that Motorcyclist are the more vunerable ones on the road, but it seems that the drivers in Singapore go one up on it and add a 2nd part to it.

To them Motorcyclist are the more vunerable ones on the road, if you cut into their lanes they will give way to protect themselves from injuries :giddy:

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

One young LTA guy on his YBR turned into a side road then suddenly swerved back out and almost hit me as I was going past. WTF... just shake my head and thanked my lucky stars I didn't get swiped by him.

Major (w/ injuries, ambulance on scene) bike vs bike accident on PIE eastbound before Eng Neo Ave exit this morning 8+ am.

Pls be careful of Malaysian commuters. They sometimes like to try and squeeze between or overtake other bikes while lanesplitting.

saw that too around 8++ mrng. malaysian commuters ride like there's no tomorrow for them..haiz...

Anyone else notice that cars like to change lane just before ERP gantry?

I've observed this 'phenomenon' a number of times. Better to have longer following distance near ERP gantries for those drivers suffering from ERP anxiety and have the urge to change lane.

LTA like got no QC for their hiring. Think they panic that enforcement of some stuff getting transfered to them from TP, so anyone with 2B license they take.

Feedback to LTA? It's the only way those middle-management LTA ppl who drive merrily to work would know that they need to be a bit more selective in hiring, and offer training to their new officers

Hahaha! Reminds me of the time I was there and when taking a ferry ride to one islands near kao shiung, the bottom deck was designed especially for bikers so they could just ride onto the boat and hang on to the handgrips dangling from the ceiling. Very cool. Not sure if I got pix of that moment. But EPIC

I just experienced a mini-tank slapper yesterday, thought I was gonna buang but lucky I was able to kick up with my right leg and stabalize before I hit the curb. Worst experience eva!

God bless ! Be more careful next time. Lucky you and your bike in one piece. Sometimes just can't imagine a small accident actually brings you tons of trouble. Ride safe:)

Today at 8.55am, PIE eastbound just past Adam Rd flyover.

Old white pickup truck was following traffic in Lane 2, suddenly started losing speed on the uphill stretch before the ERP gantry and then lost control and skidded, the rear end almost fishtailing into a car and a van beside it.

Although I was over 800m away from the incident I started slowing down immediately. All the traffic behind me also got the hint to be cautious and pretty much stopped behind me.

I turned on hazards and escorted the lorry up the hill under the gantry whereupon the driver moved over to Lane 3 and proceeded at a cautious 50kph.

Moral of the story - Riding schools during my time showed videos of lorries skidding for a reason. Unladen lorries/pickups have practically no weight on the back wheels giving them poor traction, especially where they are rear wheel drive and have high-torque engines.

Singapore kiasuism on the road - people get used to having their signals ignored or see cars purposely block them when they -do- signal so they either never signal at all, or use signals like a "laser gun" - get out of my way or I run you over.

I'm not surprised if bad road attitude causes its fair share of accidents.

Here is an idea - instead of focusing so much on passing stages, driving centres should indoctrinate learners on driving attitude as well. The "You Are What You Drive" TP banners I saw last year had the right idea. But right now as your experience indicates, does anyone care?

Yes, that's correct, we need Road Courtesy Campaign too :)

Yea we really need some road education man.

Just 4 days back on my way to work via BKE, got one car keep trying to push me to the ... ROAD SHOULDER.

As you know, the flitering into BKE is only a single lane, and yet this stupid driver driver recklessly just want to push me out.

He even knock on my saddlebag and cause me to wobble.

They just got this freaking ego problem and are simply against riders.

Then 2 days back, I got into a minor skid near Jurong point. One car was on a turn right lane, and we're all moving at decent speed (around 60-70)

Then all of a sudden, the car suddenly turned out and cut into the middle lane, causing the car infront of me to e-brake, and me behind the car, with insufficient distance for braking, end up skidding.

Good thing? Crash bar + saddlebag + skidding in lane = totally unharm.

Bag thing? Crash bar broke .

Then just today, after getting my crashbar and windshield done, I got this ego problem car driver again that tailgates me.

I was like ok, if you think you're some GP racer, then fine I let you pass.

I changed to the middle lane, and he zoomed pass. But no long, he realised there's a lorry in front of him, so he bo bian, end up slowing again.

After which, when he saw some opening, he lane spilt to overtake and nearly hit me.

Singaporean drivers .. if you think driving some sportscar or think you are some racer with some lancer, then please show me what you got.

Don't only try to act garang by flooring the pedal only on empty straight road.

Kiang ziu ho .. mai geh kiang ..

Freaking pissed off with road users nowadays. .

Adventure.
