When I spot a car with a driver with long hair silhouette, I give it a wide berth. :)

You usually can spot some of them from a distance, where the brake lights keep coming on.

I see..... what you did there.... :cheeky:

ya man. and I wonder why they keep tapping on the brakes. . .

Always scared to knock into something... so standby brakes.... but never realize behind will have things knock into them.

looking into the mirror may also be futile. what can you do? accelerate forward into oncoming traffic? its really between the devil and deep blue sea.

I stopped at a traffic light *red* and this mercs rear-ended me. Lucky I didn't suffer much injury, dear brothers please look out in the mirrors even when u stop. Drivers in Singapore either they have really bad eye-sight or they dont give a **** to us bikers.

See behind, then can press the brakes even harder, lean forward, hug the bike and brace for impact.

That way kena, fly, also won't fly as far.

Otherwise, see mirror put side stand, stand on bike when about to impact jump, bike gets it, but you land on the roof of the mercs.

Big Bike : Old Yellow 1000cc bike

I overtake a big bike in a roundabout, the Big bike gave chase. He blast past me once the road straighten up. He slowed after awhile wondering why I didn't give chase then he looked in the mirror to realise he got pwn/self-pwn because I'm just a Wave 125. He then gave me a thumbs up for the my overtake.

Thanks Old yellow 1000cc bike rider!

I also had a similar experience 1 yr old from a BMW tourer along Jalan Bahagia.

Once you ride enough, you will realise that riding a small bike fast is more exhilarating than riding a big bike fast.

Power is nothing without control.

sometimes people overtake is because they wanna get somewhere faster, not because they wanna challenge or whatever...maybe some do, individuals differ. Different thinking, different objective, different maturity.

most importantly, enjoy your ride, get home in one solid good piece.

ride safe bro...

For me, I prefer to spend less time on the road especially at rush hour traffic considering I ride from Bishan to Tuas South everyday for work(35+mins ride)

Less time spend on the road = Less chance of accident

Dont get me wrong, I love riding but riding for leisure and riding for need are very different.

After realising I'm a Honda wave, he slowed down until I caught up and give me thumbs up? I dont know why either.

Maybe because I took the roundabout faster than he did but thought I wanted to race so he guns it without realising I'm on a Honda Wave?

Most rider have egos much greater than their skill level...

still find it hard to believe...

maybe at that roundabout u go past him closely ??

I overtake from the outside and gave him about 1+m space. I always made sure my riding line do not criss-cross with other rider as it's very dangerous.

Meh. I'm just glad I live to ride another day.

Just wanted to say hi and thanks if he is on sbf.

Talking about criss-crossing a rider's path, do you all encounter that? Had a stupid malaysian cup-kia did that to me one morning to work, maybe he was thinking i was too slow or for what other reason, he did that when there were enough space to over take me either further up or later.

Dumb idiot, happened in Jurong Island. While he was slowing down at the traffic light, and i was filtering out to my workplace we looked at each other and i gave him the "Are you nuts? What's wrong with you look?" He gave me the "........" look, because he had tinted visor, dunno how his expression was hahahaa...

anyway, its was so childish, some people, old already thinking still like kid. dumb idiot.

I was a Ex-mac rider :x

Stopped working there because the new management kicked out all the malay riders T_T

P.S I'm Chinese(Banana type).

My experience from mac-riding @ my hub:

Malay = love leaning the bike and take straights like an ah-pek

Chinese = love speeding on a straight and take turns like an ah-pek

yeah, encountered once. was lane splitting on CTE and going slow cos there is a kup lanesplitting in front of me. this farker in a shadow can and squeeze lanesplit us, causing both me and the kup to swerve and nearly hit the cars. got very pissed, horned and gave chase. the bugger panic and tried to run but there was no way he got shake me off. after seeing him do stupid stunts like abrupt lane changes and swinging into cars' path without checking for danger, i gave up the chase.

u need to be young and reckless to become old and wise..... if u survive

Power is nothing without control.

Because you overtake him from behind deliberately, which many smaller bike like to do this to a bigger bike. Not forgetting he can do that to you also.

Your ride enticed others to challenge you, after all you are still a loser to him, the thumbs-up could just means otherwise.

Actually come to think bout it his thumbs up might well mean "wow….so you're faster than me. Wow. Power man you" I give thumbs up to inconsiderate drivers all the time. In my context it means" wow....drive until like this also you can,you really steady"

There's such a thing as un-deliberate overtake?

I was just making my way to office and not wandering looking for trouble like most immature riders... I'm not one of most "I've just got my license and I'm invincible rossi"

I always keep this in mind when i ride "Don't start nothing, there won't be nothing." - defensive riding due to too many horrible road users with a "I paid road tax, all the road is mine" mindset.

Riding overseas is so much more pleasant as people are more considerate and courteous compared to Singapore.

i like this sentence. often small bikes always use this excuse when big bike zoom past them.. if they dare to disturb big bikes, they shld prepare to get smoke by them. but they always use this excuse to cover their ass lol
