i going to take a look at the dvr that is selling at motoworld. u wanna sponsor me so i can post video to entertain u?

i personally dun really like it when i encounter this type of drivers. although basic theory states that we should signal early to inform others, but to keep the signal on for too long is also misleading. sometimes u dunno whether the driver/rider forget to turn off the signal, dunno which direction to go or see u coming from behind and give way to u 1st. ever encounter b4, driver signal for quite a while and had no intention to lane change so i pick up speed but driver suddenly lane change when i was right beside

The one sold at motoworld is only 25fps. It will cost around 500+. Check out one of the threads as we have been actively discussing on video cameras for bikes. Do not want you to regret after making a purchase and realised there are better ones out there that cost much cheaper.

Guys and girls... Pardon a noob question. For 400 bucks why not you guys, and girls consider the GoPro..? Any influential differences between that name that is used so widely in the so called hardcore arena..?

GoPro hd hero 2 is retailing at $499 and i know bro armani123sg can get it at $430 instead but i have a few things to consider if i were to get it

1. i'm afraid that the aerodynamics will get affected if i were to mount it on the helmet

2. i'm riding a sportsbike so i have to think of ways or even customise brackets to mount the camera

3. if i were to mount the camera on top of the dashboard, i will most likely need to change the original windshield as words and design are already imprinted

4. it is afterall a 1 way cam and will nvr know when some idiots decides to ram u from the rear and leave u with no concrete evidence

i'm not saying GoPro is bad but i just have a few concerns in mind. anyway i will be meeting a fren that recently just got himself a GoPro hd hero 2 to understand more abt the pros and cons b4 i make any decision

Ah i see..thanks for the reply..are there cameras that are able to snap front and back.?how do u record front and back with a single vid recorder then? alot of people also mount their GoPro on their helmet on tracks so maybe aerodynamics wont be affected unless you're going into three digit speeds?

Ride fast..ride safe..don't crash...

@duo. E wide view doesn't look very much wider than my or ur camera. ._.

@xueling. Can try other action cam tat r more small Form thus helmet mount wont ve issue. For rear cam, can consider get a cheapo anything and just velcro it underseat or something.

@ticks. 3 digit spd too easy to reach. Anyway this is my current setup. http://img.tapatalk.com/b637edfb-2cca-9608.jpg not much issue even above 140km/hr.

I think for them to record front and back should be 2 set of camera and will save 2 videos each trip. Maybe single control only to operate both camera also.

That blows. I thought the wide angle was for real. Guess its just another function only appear on print but not physically there.

Let me teach u a way to get wide angle. Find a way to mount ur camera behind u. :)
I have thought of doing so. But the placement available for my bike will not be as clear as most of the time my body will be blocking the view.

build a mount on the bike.

I've seen a dude on a GTR 1400 with a pole extending up from the rear side and a camera on top of it recording.

Pole like the siren lights on police bikes.

Anyway, gotten used to riding with camera now that i feel uneasy when i am not riding with it. it's like the feeling you dont have failsafe.

kinda same feeling as when you have s3x without condom. lol.

March 2012 - August 2013 = Suzuki Impulse 400

Present = BMW (Bus, MRT, Walk)

we using same helmet, HJC. but where do you get that white cover over the camera ah? i think worse comes to worse i'll have to stick it on the exterior of helmet rather than interior.

Yap. My GoPro Hero also vibrate like crazy at anything above 90km/hr. So I hardly use it on my helmet. :(

Anyway back to the point.

Yesterday while riding, along Upper Thomson Road on my way to Macritchie, I kena flashed by the driver behind when I slowed down to the speed limit of 60km/hr outside Pierce Secondary school. Although I very slow, but then hor, last week at this time got mounted camera on the overhead bridge leh! I trying to play safe mah! :dozed:

Then on the way back, I lanesplit! split! split! until I reach Upper Thomson Road again.

Along the way, there was this cream coloured Vespa F##7618# ridden by a chick looking lady. :lovestruck:

Naturally, I kay poh, kay poh and buaya-ed up closer to take a closer look! :cheeky:

She was wearing purple leggings and a sleeveless top, but she did wear covered leather shoes and sported a pair of riding gloves. :shy:

Since she was not the type to lanesplit but still kept to the left of the right most lane, I also kwai kwai stayed behind her on her right hand side and made sure she can see me in her big round mirrors mounted on long chromed silver stalks and in doing so I can also see her face whenever she checked her mirrors.

Together we rode behind a Mazda 5 for some time before she started coming nearer and nearer to me. Although tempted to let her come nearer, I guessed that she was actually going to make a right turn soon, so rather than disturb people, I signal left, off my throttle and went behind her to her left, as I did so, I saw her signal lights going off and soon overtook her, stealing one last look as I passed her by. That was the last time I saw her in her bubble shaped visor riding away.... .... :(

When I reached Yishun, there was this "Ninja" rider F##8010# riding pell-mell during a left turn as I was going straight in the middle lane, fortunately he can control his bike and stayed in his lane when cornering. He then went pass me on the right revving his engine like no tomorrow, then he stopped. The light in front red light! Once the lights turn green, he zoomed off again, and I caught up with him a 2nd time at the next traffic light after Yishun Stadium and Orchid park condo, then he zoomed off again and I caught up with him a 3rd time at the red light just before Orchid Country Club! For the 3rd time in a row, he kena red light and had to stop! Muahahaha! Then I caught up with him yet once more for the 4th time at the next traffic light before turning into my carpark laughing and I was riding my 9 year old Phantom while doing it! He really sway lor!:lol::lol:
