Yes, our roads are more user friendly than Msian roads but it was not as good as the roads Singapore had years back. We've been cutting costs on repairing of roads.

It's both a push and pull factor. Years back, we do not have that many people in Singapore, less cars on the road. Now with more people, companies have to enhance existing phone, gas, electric lines, and so have to re dig and lay new lines. Constant redigging causes road surface to be uneven. More vehicles on the road means road surfaces wear and tear faster.

Then the other part of the equation comes in. Authorities take longer to identify places for resurfacing, and spend less money on maintaining roads, thus the drop in quality. But i'm glad they fixed the hole near my place. Sometimes bike making left turn didnt see the hole, will kena big bump and wobble. A few uncles kena before liao, ever saw a scooter fell down at that spot also.

RIDE.

You forget, PAP is very rich but Singapore is very small, substandard is a sure sign of greed.

They are not. They simply cannot accept the fact that our bikes though cheaper than their cars are actually faster. :what:

Finger her? Do not forget to sanitize your hands afterwards.

I concur. Its even difficult to get a cup of coffee with extra milk at the coffeeshops.

Generally my own personal rule of thumb is that my MAXIMUM speed is 20 above the road limit, if riding without disturbance. But usually i will stick to the limit, or 10 above if the traffic is really smooth.

.

LOL.. bro.. SP meter and KR meter both got error de.. :p

So we got more speed to play with.. Digital and analog is different on a 2B bike.. :)

I believe chiong for thrill belongs to track. As much as Singapore roads are good condition, there are more bumps and holes appearing than years ago. Hahaha. That chiong home at 120kmph was at 2am and roads were clear. it was emergency as well though. If i had gone any slower, i might have shitted my pants. Stomach churning all the way from the kopitiam to home. The kopitiam toilet was unusable man. Someone took a diarrhoea crap there and couldnt aim properly, even kena spray on the floor.

indeed.. I fully agreed.. sometimes, I have no choice but to rush home.. not to LS but to eat medicine to stop LS.. LOL..

Kindly read thru at least the intro section first before decide to post any comments.... thanks...

Yah i know, cos that time my meter reading 75kmph, my friend's fz1 digital meter reading 70. But since TP close one eye usually to the plus minus 10, i also close one eye take my meter as zhun one. better to be slightly under speed limit than to be over!

This one ah (below)? I think it's a great "SOP" but we are a long way to get there. However if there's a massive nationwide campaign to do this, will make our roads much better. Our problem is of course the "6.9 million". If only we had adopted this back when our population was around 2-3 million.

I'm all for this.

But you know what most SG road users will think if you flash a hazard once you've gotten ahead of them?

They'll think you're trying to be funny with them....

You thank them with a flash of your hazard? Next thing you know that CB-bin ah beng overtake you and cut you off, jam brake in front of you, then hit his brake lights and hazards.

These drivers are living in their own world. They think the roads belong to their grandfather. Their middle finger gesture shows their maturity is at baboon level, which ignorance level is no matched with civilised human beings.

That's an interesting thought actually...

Since many riders here also advocate giving the middle fingers to cars who have swerved into their lanes or whatnot.

I guess what goes around comes around. Cars and Singapore Bikers. Baboons.

Yeah, I'm sure we can find an excuse to justify bikers giving car drivers the fingers or breaking their mirrors too. Sure. After all, biker brudderhoot transcends logic too sometimes.

Saw this video at facebook bro..all i did was to share the video among my friends..as we know almost everyone have facebook nowdays. A little education goes a long way.

I personally like the one hand up "thanks" handsign but once a driver mistaken it for a finger. Suay2 the driver behind speed up and overtook plus cut me...but next traffic light i explained to the driver..he was soo paiseh after that.

I see nothing wrong with breaking a driver's mirror, he doesn't even use it so we're actually helping him.

Agree with u... But sometimes the mirror is too hard to break off, I just close them inwards... -.-

Couple of days ago while riding, a BMW driver nearly squeezed me out of my lane. He was close enough to touch if I reach out my hand, but still coming closer!!!! When I turned to look, the guy was on his Hp!!!

Horned him and "Teow" him.

He apologized, so not reporting him to TP.

Motorcyclist are the nicest people on the road, try not to kill us.

Yes bro i hav d same thot as well. I tend to do the middle finger gesture whenever there's driver that almost hit me when i was riding in my twenties. It was my way of expressing my anger at them of how they almost get me killed. Now in thirties n thinking back, tat was unneccesary n it actually doesnt benefit anything at all. I also do not want to have any collateral damage that may arise after the gesture.

To those bros tat still doing it, better play safe. Nowadays there's a lot of onboard car cameras. Dun want to see riders being stomp n become an internet sensation overnight.

True enough. Only recalled vividly giving the index finger to drivers to let them know they are being watched. But then again I ride with a chip on my shoulder.

If not I would not be here already.

The chances of an egoistical rider getting into an accident is much higher.... ride smart, talk, post etc... using your head.. not your ego.

Not really... All depends on your luck actually... Got into 2 accidents on my 2A bike in less than a year apart... Both hit me from behind 1 when I stopped behind a car in a jam, the other when I stop at a pedestrian crossing for pedestrians to cross...

I feel you should still report. He will do it again, so he's a hazard.

True. I might not be an egoistical rider but accidents happen when I push my bike a tad too far.

Guys... Just to let you all know that some cars carry walkie talkies inside... Heard from a friend that they rounding very fast and went past a group of 3 bikers then when the last car went past the bikers, the 3 bikers sandwiched the car, not letting the car go so fast... He walkie talkie for help and the rest of the cars stop at the shoulder... When the bikers were approaching, one of the drivers swerve the car out from the shoulder to cut off a rider from blocking the other car. Almost caused him to crash. End up the cars sandwich the bikers but 2 bikers managed to get away cos theyre riding 2a or 2 bikes... left with the 2b bike didnt have enough power to get away from them... Just to inform u guys. I don't wanna hear another rider getting involved in an accident... It hurts me as much as if I'm the one that get banged...
