Today going to AMK just now from Dairy Farm, entering BKE, head nearly kena wack by van on lane 1 on the accelerating lane.

Turn and eat alot into lane 2.

I've this OCD i think, whereby after turning, I'll keep to the lane that is supposed to turn into, and I hate it whenever drivers/riders cut into my lane whenever turning.

It's just plain disturbing for me.

Same here. Just this afternoon when making a right turn a taxi on my left went in half of the lane I was in. Horned and the driver turned and looked at me but still keep cutting in my lane and have that 'What I do wrong?' look. Pulled away from the taxi and slowed down as next traffic light is red. So waited for driver but from my mirrors I could see the taxi going really slow. Probably afraid that I will reprimand him which I was thinking of doing. Light turns green and off I go.

I do that too. I'm sure some riders who c will think I show off cuz cls 2. Or maybe think I'm weird becoz move off so fast yet later on just slowly at 60, 70..

 

But I just Dun feel too safe with cars around me when moving off

Same, i pull off at traffic lights as well, but only after checking left and right to make sure cars are stopped and none chiong red light. Serves me 2 purposes. One is to get clear of any vehicles for similar 'feel safe' reasons, second is to clear 2T from pipe. That's why always tell my friends to not line up behind me at lights.

 

On another note, does anyone know what software can be used to cut videos that are in .mp4 format? Windows Movie Maker does not support .mp4 format.

All same to me. You see, my bike is torquy, so pick up is slightly faster than other bikes. Then I always get these DRZs and S4s reving the **** out of their engine when moving off a traffic light to "beat me". I rode super4 before, and the pick up is actually quite slow. Speed kicks in only after Vtec (No offence to Super4 owners, different bikes have different capabilities) . It is so apparent that these riders is riding more aggressive than the usual way.

 

Then also this incident with a GSXR1000, whom after I lane split and passed him (he was on travelling law by law within the lane initially), he started revving up and tail gated me for some time before finding another gap, and speed through me.

 

Please lo. I uncle at heart .. want to race, please go your lim chu kang road, changi or yishun damn (or whatever place these bengster like to hangout). I might wear a rossi helm, but I am on an adverturer tourer bike, wearing office wear, leather shoe, peacefully commuting to my workplace.

 

Dont mind me saying, but these kinda ego problems on our road is rising as I type. For cars, they try to block your advancement (slowing down or preventing you to lane split) . For bikes, die die must chiong and "win", and somehow doing that will increase their p3n*s size.

 

I know there are both good and bad road users, and I am grateful to all who use the road in a civilised manner, so that I can live one more day. Those reackless ones, please, use your own life, don't use mine can? Please, I let you win, I let you pass, just don't bring me along 6 feets under.

 

I think u think too much mostly higher CC bikes move off faster at traffic light, I dont think they are trying to beat u. r15 pick up quite slow 1 leh even pulsar 200 pick up faster leh, its not like those 2 stroke sport bike, s4 and drz normal pick up already quite fast liao no need to rev also can beat you, think u think too much.

This morning around 9:10am, riding on left most lane of Cantonment Road.. This maroon Suzuki Swift signaled left and swerved into my lane almost immediately after his signal came on. I had to squeeze my brakes to avoid rear ending him. Apparently he was trying to make the turn to Lim Teck Kim Road. Changed lane to the right, turned to look at the driver to see what the hell he was doing. Turns out the mother f**ker was on the phone and not using a ear piece. A pity I failed to memorize his car plate number. If anyone here knows any colleagues driving a maroon Suzuki Swift, please point him to this post.. I think the driver was a middle aged male.

Yeah, generally i'm ok with this type of driver or rider... they ride fast but they responsible enough to signal beforehand and check blindspot first.

 

But all in all, i think indecisive drivers are the worst of the lot. I encountered one this morning while LSing, He from lane 1 cut to lane 2, cut halfway then signal. Then he see lane 2 start to slow down, he start to cut back lane 1 without signal and i was right beside him. had to swerve a bit and throttle to avoid...

 

I'm still trying to find video cutter that support mp4 to splice the video to upload, in case someone say NPNT.

Aiyo... Cannot like that ma... There are 4-5 types of "street racers"... The first one is the type of racer that doesn't check blind spots and doesn't give a damn about other road users... The second type is the racer who checks blind spot but doesn't give a damn about other road users... The third type doesn't check blind spots but gives a damn about other road users... The fourth type of racer checks his blind spot and gives a damn about other road users.... The fifth and last type of racer checks blind spots, gives a damn about other road users and tries to prevent road accidents by interfering with the first and second racers who change lane abruptly without signaling, lanesplitting at unnecessary high speed and cause near accidents... So cannot label all as the same... There's a difference...

Yea. You know, it's definitely not safe for 2 bikes to be travelling side by side. If have enough power, then just pull off ahead of me, or just move off normally. Rather than try to play chase and stay beside. Just find it so dangerous.

 

agreed not safe side by side.. but some riders like me..

ride alone bored.. looking for someone to ride with.. so just tag along with any bikers that's the estimated comfort cruising speed..

Let him overtake since I'm not in a rush..

Within 5km, cut into my lane.. Nvm.. Let him cut.. He cut out again.. within 1 km, cut into my lane again WITHOUT checking mirror nor blind spot & almost kanna me.. Nvm.. Den he rev up again.. while i'm cruising on extreme left lane.. He come again.. I was thinking.. WT*.. Think I good to bully izzit?

 

Rev until RPM 6.5 (valve haven't open) and I can't see his headlight after 30s.. LOL! Cannot tahan people who think people good to bully sia..

 

Always kanna 2B want to bully me one lor.. Got box, relax cruising = can bully arh? *shake head*

since there is camera, i just ride relax. then this runner come up to cut and blow at the bikers on the road, me included.

then at the junction with the mrt track he keep revving his bike like wanna race with everyone.

so once the lights turns green, i gave him a 1 sec start and the rest, is history.

since there is camera, i just ride relax. then this runner come up to cut and blow at the bikers on the road, me included.

then at the junction with the mrt track he keep revving his bike like wanna race with everyone.

I agree, slow, lousy drivers are worst, they think slow means safe but they don't check blindspot nor signal, they think everyone is driving like them.

 

Anyway, yesterday while on the PIE, a cab swerved 3 lanes from filter lane, well if you did that going fast and at angle more to the direction you're going nvm, this one literally cutting across almost perpendicular the road, had to change lane, gave him the finger and sped off.
