hey yas... i did the EO check according to the manual..

run for few min.. then off the engine and let it rest for few min.. then measure...

i normally measure it during cold start... or the initial start of the day...

anyway i recommend dun measure it after you have travel for a distance.. cos this way you will sure get your reading fall within the range...

according to honda's svc manual, it says to check only after letting e bike idle for 5 to 10mins in order to have a more accurate check, as u need to let e EO to circulate ard inside e engine, as fpr dipstick, juz put in and pull out no need screw in...if not u get false reading...

Go as far as you can see; when you get there, you'll be able to see farther.

Hey guys, a fren's phantom got this prob of engine not easy to start after it is warmed up. No problem in the morning when doing cold start, but riding for a while and stopping to pump petrol etc, the engine is either harder to start or dies off after a few seconds.

He has to throttle a little and it'll be fine. Any idea?

maybe he has to increase his idle cos it's abit cold this few days... or carb clogged..

anyone know how much is the front brake plate ???

hihi... phantom TA have 6 gears?? i found its 6 gears as mentioned by u guys and the user manual.. but i can only get 5 gear...??? is this because the mech in shop only changed 5 clutch pad instead OF 6 CLUCTH PADS???

anyone have experience on changing the clutch pad??

during my first repair recently(bought 2nd hand bike), i was charged at a shop to solve the problem of difficulty in changing gear....

sgd 85 for the 5 pcs of clutch pad,

sgd 24 for 2bottle of 4T engine oil(castrol 10w-40),

sgd 15 for clutch cable,

sgd 22 for air filter and

sgd 20 for work fee(only for changing the clutch pad + oil - is this fee applicable at other shop???)

Total of 166 for the above mentioned, and ask me to change my rear disc brake - SGD75, brake pad 20, service/wash rear brake disc(25? forgot) + SGD xx fee again the next day.... but i didn't went back as the disc brake he showed me was written 65 only and he is charging me 75 and didn't give me the remaining Engine oil(the mech just left to no where when i was paying the bill...(v fast)) and when i ask for the remaining EO, the boss just say the mech left already, come tomolo for the repair and get it....

Am i big carrot head???? please enlight me..... i feel so...

I was advise by some experience guys (thank u!) to beware of the changing unnecessary parts ask by the mech... but ...

anyway, i need to do the rear brake as it is stuck to the disc, dont know i should go back to the same shop or try another shop....

am i carrot head for the above case????

From neutral, its 1 gear down, 5 gears up. Total 6 gears.

Clutch and gears are absolutely two different things. ALL TA200 has 6 gears. Its not possible for a mechanic to remove one.

Maybe you can try asking him to service the brake pump first, shouldnt cost more than 20. If it works then good for you, money saved. But your mech should know the condition better. If you trust him, go ahead, or else seek 2nd opinion from other reliable shops.

I have the best signature.
