:sian: BTW,

2 wks back i posted probs regarding abt my difficulties starting bike on cold engine (got to pull choke always).. went to dr. chong for rectification. He went on tuning n changing air filter. Same prob surfaced after 2 days, now back to pulling choke always for every cold start.

Just to refresh others. I got this 2nd TA200baby of mine 1mth++ back. Change batt and plug, done EO svc to fully sync, tuning plus change air filter (2 wks back).

hi ...just bought a old ta 150,....have been enjoying reading all the psoting.

i have not ridden a bike for a long time, and it brought fond memories of my last bike. As i was going through the ta 150, as i removed the big shiny plated sort of trapezoidal shaped cover on the right of the bike, inside it was a tube with a screw-on cap...ahoi..it was absolutely clean...was wondering what is this?? Obviously the previous owners have not been fiddling with this item...anyone out there can explain what is this??

thanks alot..

Guys, anyway to test if my fuel indicator is working without letting it run to empty? My last pump seems to last longer than usual but still no light, the indicator lights up the moment I on the bike though.. afraid to run out of petrol on the highway ahh....

just unscew the knob, pull it out & clean with tissue, dip in it without screwing & take it out again to check level on the dipstick.. if too small portion of the dipstick is coated with oil (should be at the grooved portion) or dipstick is dry, time to top up liao..

Best to sit on the bike while doing this to ensure biker is upright...

do you have the manual? pump your petrol to the max and run, see what the reserve limit or when the light up indicator will light up, maybe a 1.5L left. so from 11+ L full tank you run till left the indicator works. Singapore is small. 1 litre can bring you quite far around. So if you're prepared to calculate this, you should have prepared to be takings risks. zzzz I just woke, hope I didn't say anything wrong to advise ya.

best to do this before starting engine or after your ride has stopped for some time. Because your EO level will differ. By how much I forgot. Read and heard about it long ago. So yeah something does differ.

that's why its important to calculate your FC. predict your reserve light. if scared then just pump lor.. not like you go in to JB to pump like me..
