Did you check your signal lights fuse blown or not ?

Hello Richard, you are back. It had been 10 month since my last visit to your place for battery recondition which you did for me. Do you still do that for no charge?

Thanks a lot Richard, for the time this afternoon.

I remember the first time you perform the recondition on my battery, it take about 4 hours or more. This time it only take less than 30 minutes, look like the battery are very much healthy now.

Hey guys,

Just to check with you people, is it possible to shift gears up/down without clutching in? (on a phantom). After buying my 2nd hand bike for about 2mths, i realise only that i can kick up and down w/o clutching in. Is it normal?

Posted

its normal, you should know you're doing harm by "forcing" it this way dude ;) :btw: I'd like to know if you did it while throttling or not.

Posted

absolutely required .....or spend $$$$$ ON gears

Never argue with an idiot. They'll bring you down to their level and beat you with experience every time:dot:

oh... i did it while without throttling. just normal changing gear procedure, just didnt clutch in.

if you want to stick to that procedure, prep a thicker wallet :thumb:

temporarily, i riding my friend's phantom and i'm new to it. its eo also leaks. which part do i open and refill the eo, please?

right side of your bike near where your feet is supposed to be, on top of this hub there is a black knob. Unscew it in pour it in :thumb:

hey guys i need to confirm that my battert is weak- the green neutral light will appear when we turn the ignition key, then we just press the electric start button and the bike will start roaring.

But since yesterday after i press the electric start button the green light just dies off. I have to move roll the bike a few metres before the green neutral light will appear again but i cant start too. ended up i have to run start the bike. but if i travel some distance then switch off and on again can eletric start.

is it that my battery need to change liao?

if so where do we change the battery will be better? i see the thread " typical prices for repair" battery prices are differ

Battery died.

I had the same problem 3 months back.

You should hear a "click" sound from the right, like as though some circuit tripped when you press the starter button.

And then the green light goes off.

And when you press the starter, there is no response of any sort.

Only way to start from then on is to push start, unless you can jump start the battery using another bike's battery.

Reason why you can start the bike after riding for some distance is because the battery got charged during the ride.

When I had this problem, I was able to push start the bike, and then ride back after work, but had to push start again the next morning.

Just change the battery, and you should be fine.

ok thanks... yea got a clicking sound. i see the "typical prices for repair" thread there put prices for planet and LAB different, lab cheaper like 10bucks? for the LAB is it like cash and carry? have to fix urself?normally battery will last how long?

Bro if ur bike doesnt have many electricals, usually the batts can last at least 1 yr. Btw battery only have 2 poles which is '-' for neutral and '+' for live. Connec to neutral first and then to live.

I want to see the world and i'm pretty sure the world wants to show a little something to me.

Guys, I just changed my headlamp bulb & now the high beam is not working. Even the high beam inidcator does not light up. What could have gone wrong?

Perhaps the bulb's high-beam filament got blown, or it doesn't have one. You can check it visually yourself.

I have the best signature.

Technically you can shift gears without clutching in, but ONLY shifting up. Track users do this most of the time, close throttle n flick the gear up; it's called short shifting.

But you can't do it for downshifting your gears without causing damage. So want to fool around with this, only when shifting gears up ;)

Do check if u fitted the HS-H6M bulb correctly into the headlight socket - there is 2 connecting point if not seated properly 1 of the point may not be connected to light up yr Hi beam.

Best place is under the seat or into the rear box if u have a 1.
