Hi All...

A while ago i could not start my TA200. When i press my starter, there is a buzzing sound tt goes like tic-tic-tic. :help:

I checked my horn, headlights, signal lights and all these are working fine. i do not think any thing is wrong w the batt. It might be my starter.

I would like to know, if anyone who might have exp this b4 share their solutions. Otherwise, where can i go to get this rectified, and what is the budget for this too.

Thanks a lot in advance. i hope to get this resolved over this wkend, netter still if by tmr.

Cheers!

Your carbon bushes might have worn.

Get your trusted mechanic to do do something about it :)

whenever kick up to gear #2, only gear #2, there's a cling sound audibly loud enough that can be heard coming from the left hand side of the crankcase, what could be the possible problem?

Hi,

If one of the fork is oily, the solution is to change the seal and put in more oil or change the fork?

I saw someone mention it.. but when i went to ah chong, one of the mechanics say i need to change the fork is ard 3-4 mths time...

So which one is the solution?

if seal damaged, then change seal only.

if fork damaged, you need to change both fork and seal.

Hi All,

well i brought my bike down to Planet motors, and the mech says tt my batt (wet cell) must have burned cos with a new dry cell he showed me tt my rectifiers were working fine. In the end, it was a batt issue.

Thanks for the tip on carbon bushing tho.

Hi bros,

I just wanna ask why there is a grinding sound on my ta200 when i ride and go over a pothole or depression which is gone after a while?

Some more sometimes when i ride then i rev a bit higher, i hear a loose metal vibrating sound.

For your Carburetor, i haven't ask the technician to clean since september do you think it's time to ask him clean? When they do servicing, they don't do cleaning unless we ask them izzit?

Thx :help:

When I read about the dangers of riding motorbikes, I gave up reading.

hi all

gt a question.. will the use of engine brake waste more petrol???

hear from a friend tat keep using engine brake.. petrol very fast finish..

thanks

Nope, never heard of. I only know it'll degrade the internal of engine long term.

Like I said before, apply engine brake correctly = efficient braking;

Apply engine brake wrongly = damage to engine internal + own pocket.

Just my 0.01¢. Correct me if Im wrong.

Either your chain is quite loose or it could be time to change your timing chain and tensioner.

Davedevil: Someone posted here, enquiring abt 'pumping of 11.5l' some time not long ago. I believe tat u've overpump ur tank, all e way to e brim of e fuel tank neck?

As for workshops, I usually go Planet Motors at Ubi for maintenance n repairs. Easily accessible place, quality work, great efficiency, gd prices. Humourous boss, friendly mechanics.

Hi,

would like to ask all the bros around here..

there is a "knot" on the right side. whereby when u adjust it, the sound of ur engine also varies..

may i know wat is that and how it affects the bike.

pros and cons of it?

best setting for it too.

cause only when i adjust it to some limit then my bike will start up.. otherwise will keep on hear the tick tick soun then engine die off..:cheeky:

thanks
