I've got a story from my own brother. We used to live at Elias road, right beside sungei api-api, across Riverina (a group of landed properties). Yes, the infamous Sungei Api-Api. So this lovely pandai sangat (too smart) brother of mine decided to walk ALONE to pasir ris park to meet his friends, around 9+pm.

 

He was quite skeptical of it initially but remembered my other brother taking the same route so he called to confirm it was safe and ok. From Elias road, you can take 2 routes, one pathway along the sungei and along Riverina, and another path on the other side of the river, along the forest. He took the latter. The pathway is about 4m wide, partially covered with dried leaves but quite well lit: a lamp post every 10m or so. Takes about 15mins to reach pasir ris park where they have the ponies and horses' stables.

 

He wasn't thinking of anything so walked at a normal pace, looking at the pavement. About 1/3 way through, when he looked up, SURPRISE!!! Our dear kakak hovering above the pavement, one lamp post away from him. No feet, dressed in white, long unkempt hair, face blurred. In a split second, he thought of 1) just freaking walk on and ignore 2) turn around and run for his life. So he took number 2. He said he held on to his cap with one hand and raaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan the opposite direction, towards the nearest road/bus stop. And that wasn't it. When he was running, this kakak was so happy that she LAUGHED- the creepy laugh that echoes. He asked me if i heard anything from home, i said no. He said it was super loud and echoey.

 

Ever since then, he started seing more kakaks along the sungei, on the way home at night but just ignored them and walked further away. I told him "you're too cute. they wanna be your best friends"

 

I do encounter something similar, I was riding my bike half way and suddenly a surge of nice flowers + bike become heavily, I stop by the road side and say, sorry, my bike not for rides, put my pillion stand up, and continue to ride, smell is gone and bike is more relax...

Anyway, let me give you guys a few incidents I heard of.. But, from their face, you know it's real...

 

 

First story, from my gf.

 

Last year, she started working in a company at Raffles Place, one day, she was asked to go to 15 floor (can't remember exact floor). she has 2 lift over there and both of it cannot reached 15, so she went to ask the security guard, the security guard ask her to take the stairs from one of the lift to proceed to that floor. She went to 18, as it's either 10 or 18,19 and so on..

She found a old metal stair case and tot it's that one, she proceed down to 15 floor. Stunned by the old, wooden door infront of her and it's quite deep in, she proceed to walk towards the door as she saw that that's the only door with light from under the door, as she walked it, the celling below lower and lower, and she realize that she has to bend abit to continue walking, she's only 15x!! Something is amiss and the door somehow attract her to open it, her guts told her to turn back and run back. Lucky she did that, because she asked everyone of her colleagues, no one even know that place exist in the first place.. No one wan to go back with her to witness what she witness also..

 

 

Now another 2 story is from a colleague of mine.

 

Story 1.

 

When she was young around 18, just got her car license, one day, her friend called her and ask her go eat, so they decided to go Jalan Kayu to have roti planta, after finish their supper, they went to their own car, 2 cars only, so my friend (A) say, she will go first and wait for her friend (B) at the front junction (towards TPE), So my friend (A) drive and smoke while trying to reach that junction. (for most of us who went before will know it's v.v.near) My friend (A) drive and smoke until her ciga finish but she's no where near this junction and she panic, she notice the time is 0234, & she realize that she keep on driving around this particular house.. Everything is very clear and she just call her friend (B) who is supposedly to be following her shortly, Her friend (B) answered the phone very puzzled and ask, whatsup?

A: where are you?

B: Behind you lor, you drive so slow. Why you so kan chiong?

A: I could not see you!! Where the F*** are you? Dun play hor!!

B: Aiyo, where got time to play, your car is infront of me lor.. I still can see your shadow inside ma.. Turn around and look at me lah.. *B start horning non stop.

A: What's the number plate you are following? Sure it's me bo? I'm turning and see behind no car lei!! *Can hear horn from phone but nothing even when she wind down her windows..

B: Sure lah! SBS1234B lor.. tio lei! (continue horning)

A: Tio lei.. still never see you, how how??!!! (Still never hear a single horn other den from the phone.)

B: Hey!, stop your car you are gonna to crash the railing infront of you!! *press and hold horn.

 

My friend A Jam brake and sudden from a distance comes a horn sound and light from soft to extreme loud/ bright. Her friend (B) was horning her and highbeam her non stop. Before she (A) know it, B was beside her door and knocking her windows. My friend (A)'s car has scratch against the railing, but lucky she manage to stop in time.. Guess what? My friend A called her bf to take taxi down and drive her and her car home.. Her friend (B) wait by the side with her.. & Until today, my friend (A) chant every morning from 5am to 6am.

 

 

Story 2.

 

My friend used to work in Call centre, those (1900 ones*chat lines) and they will work routine, money is extremely good that time.. one call agent can easily earn up to 10k per month.. That was in the 90s.. So they won't mind the timing of work.. There's one night when my friend (A) went to toilet, those doors will auto slam back with a bang if someone came in.. She heard such a bang, and the entire floor is usual empty because they are the only office that's still open till that late. So she shouted: Oi, who came in huh? Silent is in the air.. She faster finish and went back to the office and ever since, she will go at certain timing.. Got a new malay gal who joined them as a agent as well, she also relate the same incident but one night, she went in and did not came out after 1 hour.. All agent stopped their call and went to the toilet, saw her hiding inside one of the cubical and cry.. Everyone ask her what happen, she ignore all, and suddenly stop crying and walk towards the mirror and smile while she started combing her hair slowly... All people was stunned.. They somehow managed to pull her out of the toilet but she went back again, until police step in and bring her away..

 

Until this day, they still dunno what happen and this malay gal still go back to that office's toilet to comb her hair slowly while she smile..

*my friend went back to that office 1 year ago and still saw her...

Fortunately (For me but unfortunately for you), I don't have so many ghost experiences or know enough people who can give me genuine accounts of supernatural sightings but I did have a creepy incident happen to me recently.

my friend's 5 year's old son had the same happening. it was the first day of 7th month in 2009. they are catholic family and no one in the family speak about the supernatural and the child did not know the existence of the supernatural.

 

in the early morning of the 1st day of 7th month, her son went to her mum (my friend) room and told her that there was a sister waving at him outside the window. my friend was ultra shocked! they lived on the 21st floor and something waved at her son...

 

she questioned her son nicely if he is telling lie and from the looks of her son, he is telling the truth. she woke her husband and both went to his room to check out... nothing there...

 

then they placed holy objects on all windows of their house...

By all means, DO NOT go there alone at night. I know two areas where you will regularly get freaky feelings from "things" around you. Last night was more extreme in that I personally witnessed a mysterious, shapeshifting object "teleporting" between both sides of a well-lit bend! When I passed the object, the HAUNTING began! It's near that lighted white plaque which is very obvious headed towards Kranji, about 1km past the Bollywood estate and the bendy parts.

I was riding through Neo Tiew yesterday too, toward Lim Chu Kang, about 915pm. It felt freakishly weird, like it was haunted or something. It isn't the first time I'm there at night, but the first time I ever felt that way. Lucky I nvr see anything...

Was on the back of a truck, goin home, saw this lady in white with very long hair ran out from nowhere and ran on the middle of the road chasing the truck. While she never caught up, I thought they can fly, maybe haven't learned yet. True story.

i live in marsiling and neo tiew road is one of my fave roads if going to jurong. twisties definately more fun then riding on the expressway. Rode there a few times in the afternoon and once at night alone. Luckily never saw anything.

 

My one and only night ride alone was definitely a eerie one though. The ride was good till nearing the abandoned neo tiew blocks when the chills started. Gunned down the throttle and quickly rode to PIE back home.

 

Definitely didnt see or experienced anything but sometimes when the mind starts to think weird thoughts is better to play safe and get out fast.

Rather keep my group small and focused on technical matters and teaching riding and tuning skills. Every week different theme and topic.
