Hey fellows, I bought a '07 600RR 2 months ago. Let me dispel the myths for you. It IS that good. Excellent track bike, excellent road bike. With its healthy dose of midrange torque, its so much easier on the limit than say a R6, whihc makes it power from 11-12000 rpm. The Honda has enough go from above 8000 so its much easier to ride on the road.

As for running it, there are a lot of different theories to it but i like to stick to the one which i have been practising for years. Ride it below 7-8000 rpm for the first 1000km. Avoid long constant highway speeds in one gear. Avoid full throttle accelerations. Its gonna be hard not wanting to unleash its full potential but self-discipline is a must!

As for engine oil, put in only fully-synthetic oils during the 2nd oil change, which to my knowledge is 6000km.

Anyway, if you get the bike, everything i said will be in the manual.

Here's hoping i'll see more of you guys on the roads. Cheers

Er, hi, nice knowin someone who has the CBR600 '07....

I dun quite understan some parts that u wrote... Can to explain further? For 1st 1000km, ride it below 7-8000 rpm... Means?? The rpm should not be more than 7000 or 8000? Or it should stay in between there?

And how do u avoid constant highway speed in 1 gear? Like say if i wanna travel from west to east by AYE than ECP.... U mean to say that i shouldn't ride it at 90km/h all the way? Than wat or how should i ride?

N for the engine oil, which means that u change to fully syn on ur 2nd engine oil change? Which means that from 0-6000km, u use mineral oil and did not change it until u reach 6000km than u change for the 1st time to fully syn?

Btw, care to share wats the milage for a full tank? N yah, has the sliders wif brackets come out yet? I hope to install sliders but i dun 1 2 cut my fairings. N has the KNN air filters for the CBR600 '07 come out yet?

thx for helping out...

Hope i'll get my bike soon and see u on the road soon too...

read the mannual that comes with the bike la ...

follow the book the answers all inside

abt accessories for new bikes, sad to say ... new bike owners always suffer the faith of waiting for parts, then if u delay 1 yr then buy, u face the fact that ur bike to be out-dated soon...

Sigh .... so bored ...

Getting Poorer every yr

For run in, change the junk oil inside ASAP. My friend's R1 with 4km on it changed oil and filter. oil came out is silver in colour...Why? Use ur common sense.

Those who used the "silver oil" till 500km I saluted them...

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!
