i think other than the colour scheme not much diff in the bike..

 

for 09, minor changes to the fairing & it comes with ABS

Sometimes i really wonder whether havin that will really help? Will the wheels really dun lock if i jammed the brakes hard? So if it doesnt lock, what will happen? Can ABS be install on our bikes?

Bro....ABS stands for Anti-Lock Braking System, you will see an extra sensor and a ring at the brake caliper area mounted on the rim. It is very effective during cases of emergency braking. It works like intermittent braking just alot faster. The sensor will senses rotation stop for 2 sec it will automatically send a release signal to release the brakes and then close again and this cycle will repeat till you come to a complete stop....

ABS normally comes as stock but no need to go install la....I think want to install also cannot leh cause not inside the bike program from stock...skills will help you brake better...

the weather also not in our favour for other 1 hour to finish...

Actually ah, after u explain the ABS system, i was thinkin to myself for quite a few times... U said that, when the brake sense its going to wheel lock, it wil auto let go, but what if at that crucial moment, u need to siam to 1 side and that little jerk would push u a little forward.... N in between that few cm, its about life and death... At least if manual, we control ourself, we noe how much to let go or to press and we can siam with ease...

 

I had this experience.... The road was wet after rain.... I was travelling down a 2 laned slope leading to a traffic light.... The traffic light was green, on the left lane was a very long queue.... On the right lane, was very short queue... So i was happily ridin down the right lane when suddenly a car from the left just come out... I braked so hard that i could feel my rear wheels swayed to the left than to the right and to the left again... N i could also feel that if i still did not let go of my brakes, my bike would flip... So, at that very crucial moment, i let go of my brakes and siam further to the right... Going past that dumb car just by 1 or 2 cm.... Now i wonder, if i had ABS, when my rear wheels locked, it would auto let go of the brake caliper makin me jerked a little more forward which could result in me banging the car already....

 

Anyway, for kopi session, anywhere is fine, but i may not be able to make, this few weeks very busy wif work...

hi everybody im new in this forum! just got my CBR600 3month ago,hv been to PG a few times. just wonder which size of spocket should i use on track?

and spring preload(front n rear) is it ok to remain the standard setting? and wat is the diff if i lower the triple clam a bit? thanks for helping!

I too have that question in mind....but ABS is to help you get a steady braking during an emergency...the main purpose is to prevent bike skidding due to wheel locking...for rear wheel I am not sure is it normally equipped with ABS or not...I only noticed the front wheel only...
