I'd happily use the money and trade in for a new bike if I was you :cheeky:

err.... did you see an extra zero or something.....? coz last i checked a brand new class 2 sportsbike costs 20 times as much as my maintenance cost....

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!

nah bro.. me just think that K&T a bit ex no offence... I did my servicing at XYZ shop on my K5 changing engine oil (maxima), filter (original) and plug (denso), valve clearance, timing chain, tensioner, brake pads (ebc), clutch cable is only about $800.

No worries about the maintenance cost.. just that i think Honda parts supposed to be cheaper than Suzies, not the other way round. and mine is a litre bike which i ride for everyday use plus the monthly PG track and the occasion Sepang track.

yeah i agree they're pricey, but the only big bike shops i noe are at ubi and village of the damned. and no way i'm sending my bike to that village no matter how much cheaper the shops are. as for other shops along ubi, my impression is they're all the 'pricey but reliable' types. i haven yet found a shop thats cheap yet reliable. if u found one, good for you, i'm not surprised you know of such a shop considering ur background.

and besides... thats my first major service in 3 and a half years.... first time ever i changed the plugs and air filter....
