true, but what if the rider is a hazard to other motorist when riding skills not gd right?

if rider wear ff then anyhow ride, the rider might endanger those who is without ff right?

this is what i mean, cos i seen many malaysian riders anyhow blast through the traffic, this is just an example

if he is a hazard, wearing ff or not he is still a hazard to others -.- if he no skill wearing ff or half face does not improve his skill no make more less skillful leh . . FF is about safety :cheeky:

I think he's suggesting either you change the bike to go with the looks or change helmet to go with the bike  thats the reason why they laugh anyway..looks..still I don't wear half caps like my friends on phantom..never found it nice, both bike and half cap :sian:

i dunno what else is safe and goes well with vespa. i guess i'll have to compromise style with safety. no matter what, my brother don't have to say i look like an idiot, right?! aiyah, whatever, most elder brother like to disturb younger sister one lah. he does that all the time.

when i riding 2b bike, i normally wear half face. but that particular day, i wear full face. and i had to fall. just a slight tumble. then my friend on another bike right behind.....he banged right where my mouth is......now think about it without a full face.

full face on a 2b bike is not funny, but just makes the rider look a little wierd.

a colleague of mind comes to work everyday in full protective gear....head to toe.....other colleagues call him terminator....but safety comes first. he is a german by the way.

i guess in europe. there is pretty much emphasis on safety gears. it is not uncommon for rider to deck out in full safety gear regardless of the type of bikes.

with regards to this, i find that learning to check your blindspot with a FF might be better as compared to wearing an open face.

reason being, you really have to turn alot more as compared to when you are wearing an open face. instructors cant book you on tat anymore..

once you know how to check blindspots with a FF, you will know how to check with a open face.

:thumb: :thumb: if ff you dont check properly you cant see anything. . . if you wearing open face and you anyhow turn just to trick the instructor maybe 1 day when you passed and on road theres a car incoming and you failed to check properly :dot: :dot: :dot: you should know what happen ^^

wear ff is not funny.

then SG last time FF cannot pass inspection de, this is what i heard from old timers, even illegal to use(kana warned by TP), this is not i anyhow say de, this is what i heard de, i dunno true or not, just to share wif u guys.

cos confirm some forumers will scold me and say i crap de, i also dunno y.

but now ppl concern about safety and style.

Full face helmets were illegal till 1993. Reason given was that robbers are wearing full face helmets that hide their faces. Sheesh...

On the day it was legalised somewhere in 1993, went out to buy a full face. Never wore an open face helmet since then.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

but the tinted visor ban still exists :sian:

Wearing a full face helmet enhances your own protection just as much as wearing proper riding gear like jackets with armour, jeans and shoes or boots that protect your ankles will do the same.

It has nothing to do with whether a rider is skillful or not... impacting the road is not less painful to a skilled rider... its still the same hardness.

And whether a person turns more to check his blindspot while riding or not.. its a matter of whether the rider is cautious or reckless and has nothing to do with the kind of helmet he wears.

I see alot of 2B sportsbike riders like to fold in their mirrors while riding. Regardless of what kind of helmet they are wearing... its the stupidest thing anyone can do on the road.

Why they do that?

i recall my rsaf captain telling us story few years back.

he said that during those days the harley guys who kept lobbying for FFs to be approved, some NUS groups were trying to explain that upon impact on the road the FF could cause concussion and injuries.

and no surprises, to which someone then remarked: "jaws impact the road won't cause injury?"

i wonder how many pple would post here claiming that a FF is good and for safety, etc etc, but just how many would wear it cos i dont really see alot of pple wearing FFs on the roads. one of the most compelling reason why im delaying so long in taking my cls2 is because CDC doesn't allow FF and after wearing my OGK FF4 for so long i'm scared when i can see my own fuel tank while wearing an open face.

and viciouskitty would cause other pple to have an accident because of her flapping skirt!!!

Failling off at any speed from a class 2B or class 2 bike it will hurt the same. So full Face helmet has nothing to do with what bike you ride and it's not a laughing matter.

Cheers

FF is gd and for safety but it's all up to the rider whether wanna wear it or not, cos for me, wear FF not comfortable, open face is more convenient and cooling to me.

i also dun see alot of riders wearing FF.

IMO what i seen is out of 10 riders, only got 2 wearing FF.

Was riding a phantom 200 on the middle lane of a 3 lane expressway at 86km/hr.

along came a speeding van on the 1st lane and him slow down into my middle lane path.

i threw the bike and fall. landing on my left knee, pivot a round on that knee and then fall face first and slided face down on that tarmac.

My full face helmet http://i145.photobucket.com/albums/r222/viciouskitty74/20040718RTA/7db0.jpg

I nearly also bua my breasts off. They have since gone into shock and drop a cup size. :D

I sincerely hope you are alright. So, did this happen recently or long time ago?
