When I was riding my TZR125, the ban on full face helmets has just been lifted. I bought a made in China one and wore that helmet for a good 5 years before it got stolen at the basement carpark of Clarke Quay. Though fed up, it wasn't really so bad cos that helmet was already worn out and really stinks. The thief must be really cheapo to steal a helmet in that bad a condition... :slapforehead:

wear FF is always a good choice, if possible, wear a riding jacket too.

Who know, S hIt does happen when riding.

A second of precaution is an hour of safety. It never hurts to ask.

last time i ride sp i also wear full face, last time i ride kup i also wear full face(not everytime.. hahhaa)now i ride scramble i also wear full face. safety comes first don forget!!:thumb:

Haiz, last time I sent my GSXR400R for repairs, it got 'warded' for about 5 days. The motordiam where I sent in to lend me an RXK for transportation while my bike was undergoing repairs. I rode that RXK to work, to supermarket (got box so useful for carrying groceries) and to KKH (that time my mrs was gonna give birth). Many people I encountered on the streets, looked at me riding and laughed. All because I wore my FF helmet... :sian:

they wan to laugh, let them be.. just let them know in advance who will have the last laugh.

And he who laughs last, laughs the loudest... :cheeky:

FF helmet although abit difficult to check blind spot, but it povides safety and gives the rider confidence.

to me, it looks style and more professional:cheeky:

99% of the time im riding with ff. including my 2b days.

2b wearing ff is not a laughter.

falling face down towards a kerb with a nova/sumo/lab open face helmet and end up with a broken jaw is a laughter.

I fully support wearing an ff. Your own Safety is more important then being laughed at.

Anyway, if you are concerned about being laugh at for wearing a ff, then why do you want to ride? Coz I know car drivers always laugh at us for "wraping" our bodies around the piece of metal (bike)

btw, my face looks "fat" when I wear a ff but it doesn't bother me coz at the end of the day, I know that should anything happen, i've already done my best to protect my own head.

Rebuilding my dreams. But first, the gears

1) WP RS Taichi riding jacket

2) WP riding pants

3) Titanium riding gloves

4) Garmine Nuvi 550 GPS (US$259)

5) WP Komine riding boots

6) Arai Helmet

7) The BIKE of course! :cheeky:

ever since i got my bike, I've been wearing my FF helmet.. nowadays 2b bikes wearing ff helmet are very very common.. well, it's safety 1st.. i've got friends who regretted not wearing 1 when they got themselves into accident.. although sometimes sg weather very hot & humid, but why not just endure for the journey, who knows wat might happen? it's how u value ur life, not how others value u..

i once skidded at the driving centre. i kinda knock my head against the ground. my cheap $25 sumo helmet's visor pop out. luckily nothing happened to my face. that incident made me decide to buy a full face helmet. i need my face in tact, have yet to get a bf lor. lol.

initially i was a bit self conscious too. but heck it lah. i invested $400 in one agv FF. i try to wear it as much as possible. honestly, i feel more secure with a FF. but i sometimes got stares but doesn't really bother me now.

btw, i ride a vespa. :)

my brother once told me he saw someone riding vespa with FF on the road (which is me), look like idiot. i just gave him my middle finger. what is wrong with getting protection for ur face???!!!

well, i have a FF but i seldom use it actually, especially when i am on my 2B bike, on my class 2 bike i wear it more often. most of the time, it's more for convenient to use a open face, also bcuz i make it a point to always wear a balaclava when on FF. :faint: i really look like a bandit when i take off my FF, like gg to rob a bank.

now reading the posts by other bout the injuries sustained from open face, i'm getting scared. maybe i should start wearing FF on my 2B bike too. i'm gonna make my gf read this thread and make her buy FF too

Resolution for 2009, stay healthy, get wealthy, make more friends, ride safely & pass all exams!
