Y not just use what specifcation is stated in the manual? For 50w oils, Are u not afraid they with move too slowly to lubricate? 50w is the also the viscocity of the oil. If oil too thick will cause a lot of cavitation(a lot of bubbles in the oil) so your oil pump might not be effective enough with cavitation at higher rpms.

Where got 50W oil?? 0W,5W,10W,15W,20W got lah..

ANyway..I also didn't say use thick oil like 10W 50 or 10W 60 is better..

Well..everybody have their own opinion..I have mine. U may learn bout oil from different ppl or place..me too.

Anyway..I use 10W 40. Its not thick..its not thin.

10W is the oil viscosity when in cold temperature..40 is the oil viscosity during normal operating temperature..both numbers indicate oil viscosity not only the front or the rear only..

Please read from the links below..those who doubt me..

0W,5W,10W,15W,20W is the oil viscosity at cold temperature. Thinner oil at cold temperature is better in cold climate countries during start up..

20,30,40,50,60 is the oil viscosity during normal operating temperature. Oil tend to get thinner when hot..hot engines have bigger clearances..so it needs the oil to be thicker to lubricate properly and to maintain EO pressure.

haha i meant 50 weight... Anyway i saw in the manual that 50 is also ok to use. I also using 40 motul300v. in singapore only need to look at the rear no. Front is of no use. And new road engine the clearance is actually pretty small. The older and more mileage ones should use the higher weights one.

True..its all based to riders personal preferrance & Riders usage..

Everyone have opinion..

But don misled others..Based on wat i read on the earlier post ur comment is biased to thickers oils,& thinner oils are not that effective in our climate..

True..

wat's the write out here explain all the do's & don't,

The structure of oil thru running time..

But do u know if these applies to cars,High revving sportbikes?

Cold weather meaning??freezing?snowing?below 10°C,SubZero°C???

So Places like laguna Seca,Willow Springs,Philip island Diff temp as compared to Singapore, malaysia, thailand??

The write out got comment with country best to used wat oil rating??

Or they juz mention Cold Country/Cold weather/Hot climate??

I've comments from Guys driving here(new cars espcially!!)

Based on several riders/car-owners that have used eg Amsoil 0w-30,Mobil 0w-30/5w-30..

They have a more responsive vehicle & higher mileage with lesser fuel comsumption..

But witha higher rating oil they had a reversed effect....

But we have to consider they are at a far slower rev's that our bikes..

But my implication here is,

Does this apply to the write up??Cause the write up comment on oil only wat

I'm not Tryin to Flame u bro..

Juz like u i'm juz giving my72 cent worth of opinion

Hell i Might be FREAKING Wrong too..So Don take my word on it!!

Yup..that's why we have buggers in the racing making the clearance way less tighter to create more ponnies on their bikes..

For that..U comprised on the engine reliability..:dozed:

haiyoh bro...whats the fuss about?? My comment is only on the oil viscosity at cold temperature..ie, 0 degrees Fahrenheit..

I said that thinner oil at cold temperature gives better protection in winter than Singapore weather..

I didn't say 0W 30 or 5W 30 is not good for racing..I said its not good for start up. Start up...start up...start up...and oil degrade over time. If you start thin with fresh oil..how thin will your oil be when degrading happens???

ur views are based on racing..my views are based on daily usage..u change oil every 500km..others change at 2000 to 3000km..others even more..

Oil degrade when hot and over time..thats why I say a 30 weight oil at working temperature ie, 0W 30 is not a good choice..cos 30 weight oil when degrade change to what?? 20 weight oil..25 weight oil?? 20 or 25 grade oil at working temperature will not protect the engine over time..But u change oil so often..the oil got no chance to degrade before you change oil...but others don't change oil that often like you do..so their chances of running degraded thin oil is higher than you do..

End of story..u have ur views..I have mine..I'm not misleading others..I have my reasons of not starting with thin oil when fresh..

Anyway..we dun fight lah bro...I see u got up!! From F4i to R6 sponsored rider.. :thumb:

I see u got up..doesn't mean I saw u grow old lah...

I see u got up means..I respected u as a rider/racer...

Also..I started my post with A SOMEONE who specialises in race preparations..and I agree with his opinions. I didn't say its my direct opinion and I did say my 2 cents worth..take it with a pinch of salt..if not too bad..

Yup spot on. So the clearance need to be pretty precise. not much ppl knows about this actually. :thumb:

Sounds weird but thats y some older bikes can be faster than the new ones. Haha.
