Hi Maryjane,

Riding which bike on SG roads is more fun? 400 or 600? May I know ur opinion?

For me, had experienced both 400cc & 750cc bikes on local roads, and while 750 is more fun in Malaysian open road and track, I personally found the ability to thrash a revvy 400 on congested local SG roads more fun than doing boring throttle control with a 750 on local streets.

well the only big bike exp i have is 600 and tt's barely a mth ... but i agree with u 110% tt it's much more comfortable riding a 400 on the road ... esp with the overheating problem in r6 .. ..

I can say most of the big bikes will have the heat problem when riding slow in singapore roads. But u will nv be able to get the kick of 600cc out from 400cc comparing the technology involved.

same sentiments... i rode the R1 on SG .. sibei sianz also... mersing roads also sibei sianz. The huge massive torque is there nowhere to be used properly. Track i dunno.. coz the R1 is still virgin

A 400cc is great on SG roads but the torq will not kill you badly. But ont he track, it is really just lack that bit of power on the exit. Track straights... nono.. sure lose.

On a 600 on SG road is thrilling. Drop gear and you are good to go, whereas on a 400cc, you might 2 depending on road conditions. On the track, ample of torque but not yet boring.

So when ur bikey coming?

Ride hard & safe...

oh hamsterz the R1 on the track is great...forgiving for enting the corner 1 gear higher cos u can power your way out and not lose so much ground from the rider infront...

However, i realised that with any 1000cc on the track u need to have control- in the sense that if your bike can only power out so much out of a corner. Leave it be or suffer a rear wheelspin in corners if u just push your bike that tad bit extra...hence lowside..hahhaa

On the 600s the rear wheel spin is harder to achive cos of the torque diff. hence u can power out of corners on the 600s more aggresive then the 1000s. But in the end skill and guts count-hence making the better rider, not the bike.

I think the 1000 was too much for me, was pushing way to hard and i guess one day the bike decided to puch me back.... ;) thats what i get for being power hungry.

have u considered the spark 135?

its a nice and powerful bike with some technology in it.

twin cam, throttle position sensor, mono shock, and bigger cc at 135cc.

price not too much diff compared to the x1
