Need help on the above. Im currently riding Wase S and I intend to change to Wave R fairing. But after getting Wave R fairing, including the handlebar and headlight/signal light, I realise that the fairing for the meter cover is different.

 

Wave S meter is oval in shape and Wave R is oval and abit extra come out at ther meter (which is to say if I fit Wase S meter on Wave R fairing, there will be abit of lobang below the fuel gauge). Is there any way to rectify this problem? Or do u guys know is there different type of Wave R meter fairing which is oval in shape?

 

Then I also realise that Wave I meter is also oval in shape. Can Wave I meter fairing be fit together with Wave R head fairing and handle bar?

 

Need help on this and hoped you guys can give me help on this.

y do u intend to fit wave-r fairing on a wave-s? y dont u jus buy wave-s fairing?

if i'm not mistaken.. at JB, the wave s head - carbon fibre will be RM$30-40. if i'm not mistaken. but if original, i'm not sure..

1stly Went to ah boy jb abt 2 or 1 month ago. I met wit n accident n the screw in the inner part that hold the faring broke so tinking of buyin new 1. I ask the lady she said wave s fairing 1 piece abt RM48 n there also a "better 1" cos RM60. At 1st tot ok ar price but den tink again, only wan 1 side hw come price like dat n sum more wat does she mean by "better 1"... Mayb she piss wit me cos she saw me doin ma bike at other shop so giv anyhow price...

wheel fairing? u mean the front fender? if it is, then just buy a new one...

 

PS: try to refrain from opening a new thread just to ask qns, since ur riding an X1, feel free to post qns abt X1s in the X1 individual thread.

thanks guys. erm, the fender cracks open. sry i dunno what's it called, so i just say fairing. my bad. means the fender can move around freely. how much does it cost usually?

Went to LAB and got full set black coverset (local version) for $85. But my wave is a wave s, the coverset's meant for r, so the head cowling doesn't fit. Have to buy the wave s head for another $15. Total damage $100.

 

LAB agl in JB asks for 280 monopoly ringgits. but dats plus installation. I ask LAB in SG to fix it for me and dun mind forking $, they say they couldn't do it and insist I fix it myself. Nb, had to pillion the huge box by myself.

 

so.. LAB ah gua lane more ex, but include installation. LAB SG cheaper, but no installation. Suggest u go to LAB SG if u noe how to install, quite easy anyway. If not, AGL is a better choice. Laters.

 

Oh yeah.. was quoted $180-$200 for HONDA ORIGINAL coverset by various shops.
