Can't stand noisy bikes

Yes I agree, sound from 2-strokers are like that but some idiots make it worse by modifying thier pipes to make them sound more irritating! I think there is something wrong with their hearing if they find that kind of sound nice. I thought that kind of sound belongs to the early 1990s ah bengs??!?!! Of course you can go full throttle all you want on the expressways, BUT not in residential areas please.

 

Hehe .. I rather be on my bed TRYING to go to sleep. Besides, I won't want to stand at the road side just to copy their numbers and I don't know whether I can see their numbers. I might wanna throw stones at them. Even if I get their numbers, what can I do? I think the only solution is to relocate. Argh ....

 

Sorry to the thread starter for going off topic. My advice to you is, get a 4-stroke sports bike. Don't have to top up 2T oil, they produce less smoke and you won't be cursed by pple like me haha. Yamaha R125 is coming out next year. It looks like a mini R6 and it's 4-stroke. Nice .. but the downside is .. there is no 2nd-hand right now and it's not very worth it to get a brand-new 125cc bike unless you are sticking with it for a few years.

 

i'm looking forward to hearing reviews of the r125 too. i will get one if the reviews are not too bad. though it'll be quite a waste to get it first hand but if i get it first hand den others can benefit when i sell it off mah. keke....

Wow that's very noble. But I think it's just an excuse to get it 1st-hand haha! Anyway my philosophy is .. get the bike that you WANT to ride, and not what others want you to ride. True, you might lose some $$ but you gain more than that. Just 1 example: everyone was against me getting a Monster because it has a bad reputation for reliabilty. Everyone wants me to get a Super4. But I couldn't convince myself (to get a Super4) no matter what. I just don't have any feeling for it. It's too bland and very common on the road. In the end I bought my Monster and I'm happy with it (90% of the time hehe). Go with your heart!

Why? A 2 stroker revving above 8rpm will be high pitched, but at least dey disappear quickly, from my sights and hearing. A 4 stroker with an endurance pipe? AS noisy as a 2 stroker, yet the bike doesn't move fast!

the tp bike is a yamaha diversion 900.nce i was at jb customs going home i tot i saw our tp across the border. he was wearing the same helmet plus a black jacket. he even has the panniers and the small box/ but io realize after a while..a long while..no siren lights, and it was FX plate. and i laugh at myself for being so slow.

usually the high speed ones are those who mod their pipe. havent rev got the loud sound. every night like got cub race.if u suay got 10 2-strokers with modded pipe at ur mscp, good luck to you.

at yishun industrial park, sometimes at night when my bike is being repaired, a particular bikeshop's mechanics opposite the one im at, will "play" street racing. damn loud. 125z, krr, all chamber pipe mod carb n airbox. sound was deafening.

If you are deprived of sleep every night because of these idiots, you would think other wise. Sleep may sound very trivia but it is not. Lack of sleep leads to many health problems. BTW who says private estate don't have idiots like these?

I think I am old enough to know the seriousness of arson. I'm not against loud pipes. I'm against high-pitched, irritating sounding pipes. Well anyway no point debating here. There will be no end. I think let's get back to topic and help the thread starter decide on her future bike. Seems like there is still no news of the R125 ..
