Sold my Wife's Steed this week. Very sorry to see it go but needed to make room for her new ride.

This was the second steed I've owned in the last 6 years and I would own one again given the space and cash.

Good luck to the new rider - this bike still has many good kilometers left in her.

Dude, your wife cleared her class 2 already? :)

No and so she's not real happy that it sold so fast. Her test is next week, I hope she passes otherwise I will really be in the doghouse.

But the buyer offered the cash we wanted and was well into bikes so we are happy this particular Steed will ride on for a while.

Hope your wife passes dude.... i think should not be a prob for ladies, they always close 1 eye. Ask her to go for 1 or 2 self-prac before the test to calm the gitters. My fingers are crossed for her....

Steed bros,

I'd appreciate it if you could enlighten me on:

- the difference between VSE and VLE

- how much does it cost & where to re-chrome a steed

- how much to respray 1 base colour & place to recommend?

- where should I look for mod headlights for steed

- where should I look for mod handle bars (harley T-bar type) for steed

- average maintenance cost per month for steed (servicing and EO top up)

Thank you!

HI Bro who wants to mod. i think go down Rosli to see him would be a good bet. I think there might still be a very good steed in his workshop, not sure if it's still there. Try your luck. the Steed is a VSE over there.

Life's too short, you may leave anytime, think of now, just do it.

Sorry Im not quite sure on the pricing of chroming or respraying the bike.

For mods, you can try http://www.pinkphantom.com or look for madman.

Otherwise, there's nothing much locally anymore, may have to order over the webby from overseas...

Im selling some Steed's parts, interesed? :deal:

The average maintenance is not that ex. Normal due servicing, change EO(Fuchs semi syn) + EO filter(OEM Jap), spark plugs(NGK, was told same as Phantom??) would set me back abt less than $80.

Was using K&N air filter. Coolant was using Engine Ice.

The ex part, IMO, would be the chain, front and rear sprockets, for OEM of cos.

Tires pricing are still ok.

FC wise, mine was said as reasonable. I manage to clock almost 200+km before reserve.

Hi All

I'm selling my steed. glad to have experienced a steed ride.

bike is doing good, but laidup. yes laidup at NTU

call me at 98180226 for viewing.

bike e-starts without a problem. comes with a fan on top of the liquid coolant. everything working fine, thanks to rae's good care of the bike.

bike is really heavy/large turning radius. 2B riders do take note.

I do hope im one of those who can buy a lot of bikes and cars to work on.

but i realise that there's a trade off for spending time with the bike, no wonder they name their bikes after wives.. in anyway we DO ride them wth

Lay Up Expiry Date: 23 Aug 2009

Inspection Due Date: 31 Jan 2009

Glad you warn ppl the bike is heavy. No one told me. Shortly after I got my Steed, I went up slope and tried to U-turn down on the slope. Farking big mistake.

Btw you Steed is VLX, VSE or VLS?

Which year bike? FM - FP? COE till?

How much you selling for?

I am a Honda bike lover:-

Honda Shadow Slasher 400, Honda XR125L, Honda XR400RW

Honda SuperCub C90 single seater (vintage ride - 43km/l)

Honda NC700X (Smooth tourer around Indochina)

Honda CRF250L (Enduro - 30km/L)

Hi guys! just bought a 2nd hand Steed from harley_1983 today. collecting on Tuesday(hopefully).. Finally riding a cruiser again, my first bike was a Honda Rebel 125.. anyone letting go 1" bars or risers? I'm not comfortable with the setup right now.. The risers are low so the bars have to be tilted up, i don't like upsweep.. if anyone has any for sale or exchange please do let me know.

And what are the price range for rear tire? It's due for replacement already.

I'll be stripping the foglamps, backrest, tail light chrome garnish and the eagle on the front mudguard. if anyone interested in those PM me your offer.

Pics here

Cheers!

Nah.. It's a BMX company I started back in 2000.. I really admire X-iled's work, so I figured it'll prob be a good idea not to put any of my decals on my motorcycle..

yeah..thanks for the input, surf the internet and manage to find answer to remove tank..

2 bolts only...one at the seat/tank area,,and the other is the screw that secures the plastic covers below the triple tree..

anyway thanks for your input..correct me please if the above is not correct..

Hi guys, which is the best Steed model to buy? now looking for a good steed around :)

Actually all the Steeds are the same in chassis n engine. The only diff is in the tailboard n rear rims. And there is one model with the double forks wic is very very rare but one of my supplier owns one and die die won't sell. Try to get the newer models better. U might wanna consider the Shadow Slasher wic is very close to a Steed but in my opinion better looking.

How time flies...

Big is certainly a warning but small can be downright scary! Never underestimate the effectiveness of small.
