too short for class2 bike??

hi, im a new rider ,just got my 2b not long ago.. just want to check with u guys whether im too short for a class2 bike?? i really wan to feel the power and speed of class2 bikes 1 day man!! R1 woohoo!! haha.... btw, im 166cm!! ..damn it! wished i was taller man

Now i using Honda St1100 and super 4.

No worry...Just try it out and think a solve..

i also ard 166-168 ( last measure was 3yrs ago ++ 165) . i see 08R1 is so tall sia lol was wandering if i able to ride R6 or Gsxr 1k sia .

 

The 08R6 seating height is higher that the 08R1.

I'm around 174, gotta tip toe.

My friend around 180 also gotta tip toe a bit.

I'm 1.6m, and am riding an 01 r1 and s4. I've also ridden a 07 VFR and a 03 Fazer 600 before. Yes, you tip toe, but not a problem. When pushing the bike backwards, just get off. It does'nt hurt to lose a bit of face pushing your bike because u are short. One more advice, when mounting the bike, put on your side stand. Once the bike moves, it's the rider, not his height that counts.

Respect! :thumb: Actually i see those who can push their bike backwards and forwards quite up. Esp. small sized peeps. There are peeps who are bigger who cannot do that.

I'm 1.68m riding 07 R1. Just need to tip toe a bit. Still can back paddle the bike. New 1000cc sportsbike are pretty light. My previous bike is an 00' R1, felt a bit heavier. So i think with ur height at 1.66m shouldn't be a prob. 2cm is not much of a difference..

I don't personally feel that bikes are "made for tall people" - in fact - they are less aerodynamic if it comes to a slightly upright position, with difficulties bending down to reduce air drag.

It the distance between the floor and his groin.

Do notice that some people long body short legs and vise versa......

no need to worry about class 2 bikes when you still have the class 2A hurdle before that. you'll probably have some idea of whether you can handle a class 2 bike when you go for the class 2 training n TP test... wouldn't encourage anyone to ride outside the law

 

i'm shorter than you but manage to clear my class 2 on a CB750. bike is higher, bigger, heavier, i could only have left feet touching the floor at tip toe and with backside slightly slanted to the left. sit at the centre and i'll have both feet dangling down in the air; move off, then i can shift backside comfortably to the centre... hahahaha

 

sure it will take more for short fellas to handle a class 2 monster, but it can be done with more tact rather than brute force. if i can do it... sure you can

 

if you want to ride a monster, you have to tame the monster

dat time i try to sit on the rider seat of a r1. the bike is tall but i can stil manage to touch the ground comfortably. btw i'm 165cm. so i tink u sure can de bah.

I'm 163 too i wanted to buy CBR1000RR, worried that i might be tip toe too. but last time i ride my S4 still ok lehz... haha
